Join Me on My Radio Show this THURSDAY Night!

Many of you may already be aware of the big news that I am about to share with all of you. I joined Team Sarah shortly after Sarah was announced John McCain's running mate. Team Sarah is a great community in which to interact with fellow Sarah supporters. When I joined Team Sarah, I had no idea of how politically involved I would become in the months to follow. As the San Diego Regional Organizer for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee, I have had a blast educating others around my community and online about Sarah and her message of common sense conservatism. I have gotten to know so many wonderful people because of Team Sarah and 2012 Draft Sarah. I have also gotten to know so many amazing Alaskans who have become great friends. Sarah is blessed to live in a state with so many great salt-of-the-earth people.

Many of you know that Team Sarah has an weekly online radio show entitled Join Team Sarah on Blog Talk Radio. The creator of the show, Martha Cano, recently asked me if I would like to host a show once a month. I told her that I would be honored to be a host and thanked her for believing in me. I had a blast hosting the show a couple weeks ago, and I will be hosting the show tomorrow night. Just this week, Martha asked me if I would like to be the new main host for the show, and I accepted. I am honored that she has chosen to put this show in my hands, and I hope I can make her and all of you proud. The show is going to be going through a re-vamping of sorts, and I believe this fresh start will be a good thing. Like Sarah, I have an independent streak, and I always tend to take my own path, listening to God along the way. I hope you will all join me on what should be an exciting journey. I am honored to have Camille Friend who runs the blog The Design Conservative on board as my co-host. Camille is a great woman who supports Sarah and is a great conservative. You may heard her on Pro-Sarah Radio where she is a frequent guest. Camille and I want this show to become a platform of support for Sarah. We also want this show to be a place where conservatives and independents alike can flock to to get the latest political news. I am excited that hosting this radio show will give me the opportunity to put my college degrees in Journalism and English to work spreading the word about how great Sarah is!!!

I am pleased to announce that I have some great guests lined up for tomorrow night's show. First up is Eddie Burke, the #1 Alaska Talk Radio Host. (Eddie's show airs M-F from 5-7 PST on 700 KBYR. Listen online at www.kbyr.com.) The cool thing about this is that Eddie is going to be coming to be interviewed live during his show. Many of you may remember that Eddie was nice enough to do this last month on the show I hosted. This is great format because his listeners and my listeners were able to hear the interview. Eddie is a great friend of mine, Sarah Palin and her awesome family. Camille and I cannot wait to ask him all about the Iron Dog and get the "scoop." We will also be asking him about his recent op-ed.

Second on the lineup is Sheya who runs Palin TV and is a contributor for Conservatives for Palin. Sheya is going to be telling us all about Palin TV. We will also be talking about Sarah.

Finally, we will be chatting with Jason Cline, who is running for the Alaska State House in Anchorage. Like Camille and myself, Jason is a young Republican who is getting actively involved in the political process. You may remember Jason because he was on the show last month. Jason just got back from attending CPAC, so he is going to come on to tell us all about his amazing experience. Camille and I will also get an update on how his campaign is moving along. I am also pleased to announce that all-star blogger and all-around-cool dude Robert Stacey McCain who runs the blog The Other McCain will be joining us as well. Robert has been attending CPAC for years, and Camille and I cannot wait to hear about his experience.

I hope you all will tune into the show tomorrow night (Thursday) at 5p.m. AK standard time, 6p.m. PST, 8p.m. CST and 9p.m. EST. Visit www.blogtalkradio.com/join-team-sarah to listen to the show. Wanna ask a guest a question? Call 1(347)215-6125. If you don't want to call in, but still want to participate, there will be a chat room available.

Thanks so much for listening, and I hope you enjoy the show!!!

Hard Hitting and Right On!!!

I want to take a moment to thank #1 Alaska Talk Radio Host Eddie Burke for having me on his show yesterday. Eddie is a great host who is not afraid to tell it like it is, which is so refreshing in the this age of Obama. For those of you who missed my conversation with Eddie, we discussed the future of the tea party. I also had the opportunity to call out the Anchorage Daily News for its misreporting. The ADN incorrectly reported that Sarah was not in attendance at the start of the Iron Dog, which was clearly not the case. Directly after I got off the air with Eddie, I noticed that the ADN had corrected its error. It's a bout time a news source retracts bogus information. While this may seem like a trivial piece of information, it is yet another example of just how out of touch the msm is with the people.

I wanted to take the time today to let you all know that Eddie recently wrote an op-ed for Red County in which he discusses the Family Guy controversy. (Click here to visit the op-ed Eddie recently wrote for Conservative Girl with a Voice.) Unlike many individuals, Eddie personally knows Todd and Sarah Palin and their family. I have included some of his article below. Make sure to click the link to read the rest of his hard-hitting and much-needed opinion in this matter. Eddie is a great advocate for Sarah, Alaskans and the rest of America too:

Critics and Family Guy think Palins are Hillbillies

By Eddie Burke

Making fun of Sarah Palin's last born child, Trig, is repulsive! Let's think about it. If you had a Down-Syndrome Child, and you were attending a public sporting event, would anyone in his or her right mind publicly make fun of your child? No way! Then why would a national TV show make fun of this child?

Click here to read the rest of Eddie's great op-ed.

Make sure to catch Eddie's show Monday-Friday on Smart Radio 700 KBYR from 5-7p.m.PST/8-10p.m.EST. If you're outside Alaska, you can listen online here. Eddie can also be found on Twitter @talkradiohost.

Catch Me on the Radio TODAY!!!

I just wanted to post a short post to let you all know that I will be a guest TODAY, Monday, on #1 Alaska Eddie Burke's Talk Radio Show at around 5p.m.PST/8p.m.EST. Over the weekend, I attended a tea party in my home state of California, and I will be joining Eddie to discuss the tea party movement. I encourage you all to listen and call in too if you would like. Eddie's show airs Monday-Friday from 5-7p.m.PST/8-10p.m.EST on Smart Radio 700 KBYR in Alaska. If you are outside of Alaska like me, don't worry because you can still listen online here. If you would like to call in with your thoughts on the tea party movement, call 907-274-5297 to share them with Eddie and me.

It was a great day, and I was happy the rain did not dampen the spirits of the many, many patriotic Americans in attendance. As the San Diego Regional Organizer for the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee, I set up a table and had had the chance to speak with many individuals about Sarah and her common sense conservative values. Contrary to popular belief, there are many individuals here in California who adore Sarah and all she stands for.

For more on the tea party I attended, I encourage you to click here to check out Dan Riehl's excellent blog. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Dan wrote about the tea party I attended. It is a great read.

UPDATE: If Sarah Palin were Liberal....

As you all are well aware, the sitcom Family Guy recently took a swipe at Sarah Palin and her son Trig. (Read more about it here.) It sickens me that a show would go the lengths it did to make fun of Sarah and her son. As I mentioned in the post above, NO child should be made fun of or belittled. Many may be unaware of the actress who is the voice behind the Down Syndrome character. The actress's name is Andrea Friedman, and like her character, she too has Down Syndrome. While I don't at all agree with Andrea's choice to play a role that mocked Sarah and Trig, this is not what bothers me; instead, it is a letter she has chosen to distribute to the New York Times.

I guarantee that had Sarah member a member of the left, she and her son would NOT have been mocked in this manner. A great example of one such individual is David Axelrod who, like Sarah, has a (grown) child with special needs. Now, before the left becomes unhinged and cries out, "Well, David Axelrod never parades his daughter around" I will tell them that, during the election, Parade Magazine did a piece on Axelrod and his daughter. David Axelrod's daughter has been treated with respect and dignity, which should ALWAYS be the case, but where are the people to speak out when little Trig is attacked? Where is the fairness, justice and respect for him? After learning of Andrea's letter, liberal media outlets like the Daily Kos, Huffington Post and Gawker reporting the letter's (see below) contents.

Andrea's Letter:

My name is Andrea Fay Friedman. I was born with Down Syndrome. I played the role of Ellen on the "Extra Large Medium" episode of Family Guy that was broadcast on Valentine's day. Although they gave me red hair on the show, I am really a blonde. I also wore a red wig for my role in " Smudge" but I was a blonde in "Life Goes On". I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line "I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska" was very funny. I think the word is "sarcasm".

In my family we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life. My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Governor Palin carries her son Trig around looking for sympathy and votes.

This letter should upset you as much as it does me. I usually do not spend my time on trivial issues, but when I learned of what was present in it, I became outraged at just how mean spirited some people could be. How dare Andrea say that Sarah's treats little Trig like a prop and carries him around like a loaf of bread? As someone with Down Syndrome herself, Andrea should know firsthand of the challenges Trig has ahead of him. Didn't it occur to her that little Trig will one day be old enough to learn that someone else in the special needs community called him a prop and equated him to a piece of food? While I commend Andrea for overcoming challenges to become a successful actress, I am disgusted that she would use her platform as an actress and advocate belittling the Palins this way. Sarah is a great mother who loves her family with all her heart. I look up to her so much for the way she includes her family in so many aspects of her life. She is not ashamed of her children; instead, she is very proud of each and every one of them. You can see it in the way she talks about them. You can see it in the way interacts with them. You can see in the way her children have turned out. She and Todd are excellent parents who have taught their kids what matters: God, family and country. I always say that if I turn out to be half the wife and mother Sarah is, I'd be a happy woman!

It is so clear that Andrea has a liberal bias. What I think Andrea fails to understand is that, although she does not see the harm the role she played has caused, not everyone thinks the same way she does as one reader commented over on Gawker. Andrea is a strong woman who has a successful career, so why does she feel the need to attack a woman as gracious and generous as Sarah? A woman who CHOSE to give life to her child. Although Sarah and her family are well-known individuals, they are still considered private citizens. I hate to break it to Andrea, but Trig is not the prop, she is. I say this because just as others individuals like Levi Johnston are being used by the media to tear apart Sarah and her family and to push their liberal agenda forward, so too is Andrea. She may not realize it now, but she will, and it is only a matter of time before the liberal media who swallowed her up spits her out. We can only pray that Andrea realizes this before it happens.

THERE IS ANOTHER ISSUE I WOULD LIKE TO ADDRESS:
I want to commend Fox News Channels Greta Van Susteren for her tireless advocacy for women in politics. It is no secret that Greta is a great woman herself who believes women should be given the same opportunities and treated with the same fairness as their male counterparts. Today on her Greta Wire Blog, Greta blogged about the absurdity of liberal Washington Post Columnist Sally Quinn:

In July, Sally Quinn, columnist in the Washington Post, defended David Letterman for his comments about Governor Sarah Palin and her daughter. In doing so, she criticized Governor Palin. My "favorite" of her criticisms ? It is in bold blue text below. Read below and then you decide who is putting family first - the mother defending her child from the comments of a talk show host who coincidentally cheats on his wife? or the wife who conveniently schedules a wedding so that her husband can't attend the wedding of a grandchild from a former marriage...and then writes a column to sugar coat it when it hits the gossip circuit in DC.

We report, you decide.

Here are Sally Quinn's comments about Gov Palin...followed by a link to her explanation.

".....Well, clearly, [Governor Sarah Palin] has not put her family first … And these children have, it seems publicly, to have been exploited by her in a, I think, really unfortunate way … She brings them all to the convention, including Trig, the baby. She brings the pregnant daughter with the boyfriend who clearly didn’t want to be there. She then travels around with the children, using them as sort of photo ops … she brings the children up when she needs them to shore up her own image....." [MS/NBC]

Click here to visit Greta Wire and read the rest of Greta's post, including Greta's reaction to Quinn's vile comments; it is a definite MUST READ! Greta is reporting on an issue that so many in the liberal msm are unwilling to do. Just as I and many others have called out the terrible, malicious actions of the sitcom Family Guy, Greta is taking a stand and calling it like she sees it!!! Thank you, Greta, for being a fair, objective journalist AND champion for women!!! As a woman, I thank you!!!

(I want to thank Karen Allen for the beautiful image of Sarah and Trig with the verse above. Click here to follow me on Twitter.)

UPDATE: Targeting the Kindest Among Us

When looking at how the Obama children and Palin children are treated by the media and Hollywood, it is clear there is a huge double standard. I don't have to tell you about the countless numbers of attacks that have been aimed at the Palin kids, while the Obama kids are continually praised and left alone. The treatment the Obama kids receive is the same treatment that the Palin kids should be privy to. Remember, you don't have to think that far back to the time when President Obama declared a candidate's children should be "off limits" to attacks. I agree with President Obama
for once, but I will take his point one step further. I believe ALL children should be off limits when it comes to personal attacks. Supposedly we live in a time in which tolerance is preached, but isn't it funny that those who preach it, do not seem to practice it themselves?

I don't have to go into detail listing the countless number of attacks the Palin kids have had to endure; you are well aware of many of them, but it is the latest attack that has me sickened with disgust at Hollywood in general. Many of you have probably already heard about the hurtful lengths the FOX Hollywood sitcom Family Guy went to this past Sunday, Valentine's Day. For those of you who are unaware of the controversy at hand, here is what happen: This episode depicted a young woman with Down Syndrome. Not only did they make this woman have a snarky attitude, which is terrible in itself, but it is what was said and whom was referred to that was the most tasteless. When asked by another character to talk a little bit about her family, the young woman replied that her dad was "an accountant" and her mom was "the former governor of Alaska." There it is again- another cut at Sarah and her family. Trig Palin is a child who is not even old enough to tie his shoes, let alone defend himself- He's a small child for goodness sake. Where is the justice? Where is the respect? Where are the special needs advocacy groups to speak out on this injustice? Where is the head of the Special Olympics to speak out about this? After all they recently spoke out against Rahm Emanuel's "retarded" comments. Where are the groups to defend innocent, little Trig Palin?

This is the kind of story that effects all of us personally. Like many of you, I know many individuals who have Down Syndrome. How dare this show make fun of Trig and people like him? I am so disgusted at the tasteless actions of Hollywood, and I sometimes find myself ashamed to even admit that I live in such close proximity to it. Don't get me wrong. I love my state and the great people who live here, but when liberal Hollywood continues to belittle individuals and push a liberal agenda, it does a HUGE disservice not only to others, but to image of California in general. It is wrong to make fun of those with special needs, let alone unfairly portray them as snarky. I have NEVER run across any person with Down Syndrome who has such an attitude. On the contrary, if the Family Guy folks had any common decency, they would have at least portrayed the character in a fair manner, but then again, this is Hollywood, a place where decency seems to have flatlined.

The individuals whom I personally know with Down Syndrome are not snarky or mean in any way; instead, they happen to be the kindest, gentlest, most generous people who walk amongst us. It is no secret that they know they are different than everyone else, yet they have a can-do attitude and are so resilient to those who make it a point to let them know they are different. Why make it harder on them? Why continue to belittle them and treat them as outcast members of our society? I strongly believe that individuals with special needs are what make our country so great. They are so strong and loving that these Family Guy Hollywood types and those like them could learn a thing or two about acceptance and unconditional love. When individuals with special needs are treated differently, they they know it. Trig is a child who will grow up with enough challenges, so why do individuals continue to make it harder for him? It is time for Hollywood to realize that no two individuals are alike. It is time they quite making fun of people and start treat EVERYONE with the respect they deserve.

The attacks the Palin family continues to endure illustrate just how divided our country remains. Remember when Mr. Obama said he was going to bring the country together? I do too. His words sounded great at the time, but the inaction on his part when it comes to this issue speaks volumes especially after he and members of his administration have made hurtful comments about those with special needs in the past. Our country seems more divided than ever. The partisan politics that exist today leave me to wonder if our country will ever heal from its divisive wounds. While many are attacked, it seems as though the attacks aimed at the Palins far outweigh the attacks others receive. When are people going to realize that attacking a child is the most evil attack of all.

My good friend, Camille Friend, who runs the blog The Design Conservative
has written about this issue too. She was nice enough to list the show's sponsors on her site. I encourage you all to read her post here. I also encourage to visit and read this post by Adrienne Ross, another good friend of mine who runs the blog Motivation: Truth.

My Big Announcement!!!

I told her that I would be honored to be a host and thanked her for believing in me. I also want to thank Jackie, over at Team Sarah too. Like Sarah, I believe God has a plan for my life. I will continue to listen to him as he leads me down the right path. I firmly believe in "plowing through" an open door when the He opens it. I am excited that hosting this radio show will give me the opportunity to put my college degrees in Journalism and English to work spreading the word about how great Sarah is!!!

I am pleased to announce that I have some great guests lined up for tomorrow's show. First up is Eddie Burke, the #1 Alaska Talk Radio Host. (Eddie's show airs M-F from 5-7 PST on 700 KBYR. This is great because his listeners and my listeners will get to hear the interview. Eddie is a great friend of mine, Sarah Palin and her awesome family. Second on the lineup is Jason Cline, who is running for the Alaska State Senate in Anchorage. Like me, Jason is a young Republican who is getting actively involved in the political process. I cannot wait to speak to him about his candidacy and being a young Republican. Finally, Tracey Porreca, a Team Sarah member and President of the Valley Republican Women's Club in Wasilla will join me. Tracey and I will discuss her club and the importance of women getting involved in the political process. Jason, Tracey and I will also talk about Sarah's Tea Party Convention speech and the whole Tea Party movement in general.

Thanks so much for listening, and I hope you enjoy the show!!!

ON A SIDE NOTE:

My good friend, Adrienne Ross, who runs the blog Motivation: Truth has written an excellent article that you all NEED to read. I have posted it below. Please read it, and take a stand!!! Because together, we can make a difference!!!

Call to Action; Serial Bogus Ethics Filers Give Testimony on Ethics?

During the tenure of Governor Palin, a whirlwind of ethics complaints blew into the state of Alaska. Both Andree McLeod and Zane Henning were responsible for filing bogus complaints against her. These were an affront to tax paying Alaskans and illustrated a complete disregard for the ethics system.

It would only stand to reason now that the state Legislature would take a good look at the system, hear from those who can give insight into how it can be improved, and follow through. Obviously, it would make sense to talk to the administration that has been so adversely affected by those seeking to abuse the ethic rules. Instead, in their hearings, they actually chose to receive testimony from Andree McLeod and Zane Henning, chief abusers of the system.

Lisa Demer of the ADN reports:

A legislative committee on Monday took up ethics issues that erupted during the Palin administration, but it's not clear whether the panel intends to take any action.

Attorney General Dan Sullivan has proposed state rules establishing when it's appropriate for the state to pay for the travel of family members of the governor or lieutenant governor. Another proposal sets out when the state should pay legal bills for state officials defending against ethics complaints.

Former Gov. Sarah Palin was hit with numerous ethics complaints during her 2 1/2 years in office. She said she quit in part because of what she called frivolous ethics complaints and personal legal bills amounting to an estimated $600,000.

Most of the ethics complaints against Palin were dismissed. But she settled one by reimbursing the state more than $8,000 for her children's air travel.

[...]

Oversight comes from the joint House-Senate Administrative Regulation Review Committee, which examines regulations to make sure they are allowed under state law.

The panel agreed to hold a public hearing on the ethics measures after being pushed by Palin critic Andree McLeod. House leaders also requested it, said state Rep. Wes Keller, R-Wasilla, who is the committee chairman.

Under the proposed rules, the state could cover the costs of defending a public official against ethics complaints if the official were exonerated, Assistant Attorney General Judy Bockmon told the committee.

[...]

McLeod, who filed a number of ethics complaints against Palin and her staff, urged the committee to reject the changes.

[...]

The Executive Branch Ethics Act is important, and the attorney general shouldn't be trying to change the law, another Palin critic, Zane Henning, told the committee. The Legislature should make any needed changes, he said.

[...]

The Department of Law has solicited public comment and held a hearing on the ethics changes, Bockmon said. The period for comment has ended and the department must now decide what to do. It could adopt the provisions as is or with minor changes, or let the matter drop with no action.

The committee hasn't yet decided how to proceed, Keller said.

So Andree McLeod and Zane Henning, serial complainants who cost the state thousands of tax payer dollars while they played out their hellish vendetta against Governor Palin, somehow are credible sources of information? These two Palin anklebiters, whose complaints were thrown out one after another, are taken seriously, but the legislature doesn't want to hear from the administration itself regarding how these ethics abuses can be solved? What sense does that make?

Clearly, these two can't spot a real ethics violation if it smacked them in the face, so how does their one-sided testimony equate to anything remotely helpful in bringing about true ethics reform? And why can't the legislators see what is so apparent? Allowing these two characters to have a say in ethics rules is like allowing children to decide their own punishment. Don't tell me the legislators don't recognize this. They make it hard to take them or these hearings seriously. It seems, instead, to be more of the same Juneau dog and pony show.

Perhaps legislators' approach has something to do with the fact that their own ethics laws protect them from frivolous complaints. Perhaps it's due to the fact that if a complaint is leaked to the public in the legislative branch it is automatically dismissed. No wonder Jay Ramras, chair of House Judiciary, could so flippantly scold Governor Palin for wearing an Arctic Cat coat on a cold Alaska day though he ran multiple ads for his Pike's Lodge while serving in the legislature and running for lieutenant governor. Could it not be argued that this was a political use of airtime? Could these ads not be deemed an improper in-kind contribution? Yet when the absurd Arctic Cat ethics complaint was filed, he chastised the governor for wearing a winter coat on a winter day! The hypocrisy is glaring.

We can look the other way, or we can implore legislators to do the right thing. They need to take up this issue, and we need to let them know how we feel about it. Governor Palin made the selfless decision to resign because she could no longer allow the politics of personal destruction being waged against her to continually cost the state thousands of dollars. And will legislators do nothing? Indeed, something needs to be done, and by "something" I don't mean simply hearing one-sided testimony from the anklebiters themselves.

Governor Palin fought against business as usual in the state of Alaska. Failure to act in the best interests of the state she served is unacceptable. The boneheaded decision to hear testimony on ethics from unethical boneheads makes no sense at all.

I urge you all to call and/or email these legislators and respectfully insist that they take action. Your voice does matter. I've included the contact information for you. (All phone numbers: 907 area code)

Super Sunday!!!

What a great weekend. Whether you are a political fan, a football fan or a fan of both like me, this was a weekend to remember. Sarah did a great job speaking at the Tea Party Convention Saturday night. In typical Sarah fashion, she spoke with truth and conviction. God bless you, Sarah, for all you are doing for our country!!!

On Sunday, Sarah amazed us again with her appearance on Chris Wallace's Fox News Sunday. Sarah illustrated just how smart she really is, and I admire her for not being afraid to call out the president and his administration. While there is so much I could write about regarding Sarah's whirlwind weekend, it is what I want to show you that I think you will really enjoy, but I do encourage you to check out the amazing Sarah blogosphere for articles on Sarah's speech and interview with Wallace.

Yesterday, Sarah attended a rally for Texas Governor and fellow straight shooter Rick Perry near Houston where she formally endorsed him to a roar of cheers and applause. The Perry Campaign took many amazing photographs, and they have been nice enough to give me permission to post some on them here so you can get a sense of just how great and exciting yesterday's event was. Like Sarah, Rick is not afraid to do the right thing despite how popular he may be withhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif in the eyes of the media. I fully support Governor Perry in his re-election fight. I encourage you all to visit Governor Perry's campaign website to learn more about him and his candidacy. While you're there, why not sign up to volunteer or make a donation to his campaign; after all, we need more great conservative leaders like Rick Perry and Sarah Palin.

Super Bowl Weekend is Time to Thank Those who CHOSE Life: A Post by Eddie Burke

Sarah Palin, Pam Tebow, Linda Burke and Many More...

I was interviewed last week on Pro-Sarah Radio with Host, April-Liesel Binapri. During the interview, April and I discussed why the liberals dislike Sarah Palin so much.

One of the issues that came up was abortion. As we all know, Sarah Palin chose life when confronted with all of the negative possibilities of giving birth to her Down Syndrome child, Trig.

The pro-abortion crowd is so evil, and they have continuously ridiculed Sarah for choosing life. You should see the things they do and say up here in the Last Frontier.

In a photograph of Sarah holding little Trig in her arms, a liberal blogger had the nerve to distort this image by photoshopping my face onto Trig's face. It was disgusting. Because of my support and friendship with Sarah Palin, that’s the way they chose to make fun of her and me.

As we conservatives know, if you’re not liberal, then you’re dumb… and if you’re not dumb, then you’re racist or homophobic or a "Tea-Bagger" or whatever Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals would have them call us. The photoshopped image was just what Saul Alinsky ordered when he said, “make it personal” in his infamous book Rules for Radicals.

My Wife, Linda, and I were confronted with a similar situation 25 years ago. Linda went in for her regularly scheduled sonogram and was subsequently told our daughter, Terrin, might be born Developed-Mentally Disabled or with many serious health issues. Our doctor suggested abortion. We chose life!

Because we chose Life, our Daughter, Terrin, is now 25 years old and is a wife and a stay-at-home mother of two healthy children; she’s not The Heisman Trophy Winning Quarterback, but she holds a Black Belt in Karate and lives a very successful life. Here is the part that drives the liberal feminazis crazy: Terrin loves her husband, and her husband loves her.

We should ask ourselves why the pro-abortion crowd attacks women who choose life, but celebrate the choice of death? For it is not their battle to keep abortion legal that concerns me most; instead, it is their assault on women who choose life that should cause us greater concern.

A more recent example in terms of the debate over abortion is the Tim Tebow story. The following is a clip from a Politico article:

--A Super Bowl ad from the socially conservative Focus on the Family featuring former Florida Gators football star Tim Tebow has created a scuffle between abortion rights groups.

The Heisman Trophy winning quarterback — one of the most celebrated college football players of all time — has cut an ad with his mother Pam, who tells of her decision not to end her 1987 pregnancy in spite of advice from doctors to do so. Pam Tebow and her husband were working as missionaries in the Philippines at the time when doctors there advised her to have an abortion due to health concerns. She did not, and Tim Tebow was born.

As I have watched this debate unfold, I hear the pro-abortion side argue the point that “The ad will restrict a woman's access to reproductive freedom.” How does the advertisement stated above do that? It simply doesn’t!

The ad only informs viewers that Pam Tebow chose life and her decision has been a rewarding one. The ad does not advocate either way; it only tells a story about a personal decision Pam Tebow made.

The reason these pro-abortion groups are throwing such a fit is because the advertisement is true, and they CAN'T combat it. Why is a group that embraces “choice” so afraid of free speech and a choice that Ms. Tebow made?

I write today to thank Sarah Palin, Pam Tebow and a special thank you to my wife, Linda, for having the wisdom and courage to choose life. I was the typical 23-year-old guy in the mid-80s who thought abortion was a reasonable solution to an unreasonable situation, but Linda knew differently…. she was a mother, and she instinctively chose life.

Sarah Palin knew better…. Pam Tebow knew better, and most of America’s women today know better too. Just within the last few years, polling shows that a majority of women define themselves as “pro-life.”

To all the women who chose life, your living children thank you! Some have said Sarah Palin is a “quitter,” but the only quitters I know are those who abort their children.

A Dead Fish, Expletives and Discriminatory Language: The Tale of Rahm Emanuel

It is no secret Rahm Emanuel has a very short fuse and is prone to angrily attacking those around him. Remember the dead fish he sent to a political rival? Yep, he is quite a piece of work. It is what he has done recently that has concerned Americans like myself on fire. A gentleman from the great state of Massachusetts alerted Sarah Palin to an incident between Mr. Emanuel and participants in a strategy session. Instead of instructing the group appropriately, he reportedly referred to the participants as "F---ing retarded." Not only did Mr. Emanuel clearly cross the line, but he did so in a way that was both offensive and derogatory. While you and I know that his words were wrong and should be addressed, the media are once again turning a blind eye to the White House. This isn't the first time a member of the White House has unfairly mocked referred to those with special needs in a derogatory way. Just last year, our very own president made fun of his bowling skills, making fun of the Special Olympics in the process. It took a lot of pressing for the media to finally report the story causing president to apologize for words he NEVER should have uttered in the first place.

You think the Obama Administration would think twice before pulling such a stunt again, but, then again, we are talking about an Administration that prides itself on being a media darling. Can you imagine if President Bush had uttered such a statement on The Late Show? What if Karl Rove had pulled a Rahmbo? I know both of these men would NEVER even think to do such a thing, but if they had, you all know the media would be all over the story, as they should. Where are they now? Where are they to speak out on behalf of individuals with special needs and their families? Then again, who needs the biased media when we have amazing individuals like that gentleman in Mass. and Sarah? Thank God we have a woman who is not afraid to do what the media seem so afraid to do. In calling out Mr. Emanuel, she is literally calling out the entire White House for actions they seem to ignore. Adrienne Ross, my good friend over at the blog Motivation: Truth, has written an excellent post about this incident, and I stand with her and Sarah in calling out Mr. Emanuel for his terrible, disgusting use of words. (I encourage you all to read Adrienne's post here.)

Shame on Rahm Emanuel for using such vulgar language and hurtful words. He obviously thinks he is above any criticism because he seems to make a fool of himself on a regular basis; furthermore, he shows a complete disregard for people in general. Just today, it has been reported the Mr. Emanuel did in fact issue an apology to Tim Shriver, the CEO of the Special Olympics. While I applaud Mr. Emanuel's actions, he shouldn't just be apologizing to the Special Olympics, but to every member of the special need community and their families; after all, his terrible comments effect many. It is only right that Mr. Emanuel right his wrongs and apologize to all, for until he does, people will wonder just how sincere his most recent apology was. Actions speak louder than words, Mr. Emanuel.

Like my friend Adrienne, I too work at a school. When I heard that Mr. Emanuel had made uttered this statement, I immediately thought of the high school students I work with. I work with a variety of students from all walks of life. I would NEVER refer to any one of my students as "retarded." All members of our society should feel welcome and accepted. No one deserves to be called a word that so many have rightfully tried to remove from use. If anyone has the right to speak out in outrage, it is Sarah. As the mother of a child with special needs and an advocate for children and adults with special needs, Sarah understands firsthand how much words like "retarded" hurt individuals.

Individuals with special needs deserve the same amount of respect as you and me. They are hard-working individuals who just want to be treated like everyone else, and when individuals like Rahm Emanuel spew hateful words like that, it is insulting and unfair to these amazing individuals. Wake up, Mr. Emanuel! Wake up, Mr. Obama. Wake up, lame stream media! Wake up and see that by letting comments like this go unnoticed, it seems to insinuate that you welcome dialogue that includes terms like "retarded." One can only hope that you all wise up and become as welcoming and loving as those in our special needs community, for they are true examples of people who exhibit unconditional love, for they live their lives with kind hearts and open minds. They truly do make the world a better place, and for this, the least we could do is show them the respect they deserve!

The following is Sarah's note to Mr. Emanuel:
Are You Capable of Decency, Rahm Emanuel?

The newly-released mind-boggling, record-smashing $3,400,000,000,000 federal budget invites plenty of opportunity to debate the merits of incurring more and more debt that will drown the next generation of Americans. Never has it been possible to spend your way out of debt. So... let the debate begin.

Included in the debate process will be opportunities for our president to deliberate internally the wisdom of this debt explosion, along with other economic, military and social issues facing our country. Our president will discuss these important issues with Democrat leaders and those within his inner circle. I would ask the president to show decency in this process by eliminating one member of that inner circle, Mr. Rahm Emanuel, and not allow Rahm’s continued indecent tactics to cloud efforts. Yes, Rahm is known for his caustic, crude references about those with whom he disagrees, but his recent tirade against participants in a strategy session was such a strong slap in many American faces that our president is doing himself a disservice by seeming to condone Rahm’s recent sick and offensive tactic.

The Obama Administration’s Chief of Staff scolded participants, calling them, “F---ing retarded,” according to several participants, as reported in the Wall Street Journal.

Just as we’d be appalled if any public figure of Rahm’s stature ever used the “N-word” or other such inappropriate language, Rahm’s slur on all God’s children with cognitive and developmental disabilities – and the people who love them – is unacceptable, and it’s heartbreaking.

A patriot in North Andover, Massachusetts, notified me of Rahm’s “retarded” slam. I join this gentleman, who is the father of a beautiful child born with Down Syndrome, in asking why the Special Olympics, National Down Syndrome Society and other groups condemning Rahm’s degrading scolding have been completely ignored by the White House. No comment from his boss, the president?

As my friend in North Andover says, “This isn’t about politics; it’s about decency. I am not speaking as a political figure but as a parent and as an everyday American wanting my child to grow up in a country free from mindless prejudice and discrimination, free from gratuitous insults of people who are ostensibly smart enough to know better... Have you no sense of decency, sir?”

Mr. President, you can do better, and our country deserves better.

- Sarah Palin

Pro-Choice or Anti-Life?

As a woman, I consider myself a modern-day feminist who stands on the side of life. As a pro-life woman, I believe every child has the right to live. I have to admit that I did not always feel as strongly about my pro-life views as I do today. While I have always described myself as a pro-lifer, there was a time when I didn’t really have a strong opinion either way. Many of you may be wondering, “What made her change her mind; what made her garner the strong pro-life stance she has today?” My response is simple and can be summed up in four words: Sarah and Trig Palin. Before Sarah stepped to the forefront, I never gave much thought to the whole “abortion” debate. While I knew that I would personally ALWAYS choose life, I never gave it much thought beyond my own personal beliefs. Blame it on society, blame it on the media and pop culture, or blame it on my young, naive self. My entire perspective changed when Sarah illustrated how wonderful giving someone life could be. Little Trig Palin represents how amazing an experience choosing life can be. This little angel has changed my whole perspective on the whole pro-life/ pro-choice debate. This little boy is a reminder that ALL life IS precious.

The love the Palins have for little Trig is clearly evident. Sarah has said on many occasions that she cannot begin to imagine her life without little Trig in it. She has also repeatedly stated how much she has already learned from her special, precious little boy. The images I saw of Sarah and Trig FINALLY awakened me and made me realize that ALL life IS precious. As a young woman, I am so glad to have a role model like Sarah. She is the epitome of a modern-day feminist. My definition of a modern-day feminist is any woman who values God, family, career and LIFE. A woman who has a successful career and a loving family. This is an every woman, a woman who knows what’s important and seeks to make the right decisions even when those decisions may be hard sometimes.

I don’t care what the NOW (National Organization for Women) women think of me or my definition of what a feminist, a REAL feminist is. They can hate me all they want. For me, I view anyone who speaks out against a woman like Sarah and the choice she made as not only hateful, but cowardly as well. They are cowards because these same women who preach choice and equality, are not able to commend a woman like Sarah, Bristol and Pam Tebow for the choice they made in choosing life. They say they are PRO-choice, but from this girl’s point of view, they seem to be against anyone who goes against their ideas and agenda. I’m sorry, but not only is this group and groups like it hateful, but way out of line and out of touch with the reality of the world around them. After all, it is important to note that more people consider themselves pro-life now than in years passed. That’s right, NOW women! It’s called pro-life, not anti-abortion. I’m sure many of you are as disgusted with the media as I am, especially when they refer to us, in the pro-life crowd, as the "anti-abortion" folks. If they are going to refer to us by using this “anti-abortion” rhetoric, I guess we can refer to those in the pro-choice community as “pro-abortion”? Yeah, NOW women, that doesn’t sound so politically correct now, does it?

Although it is not politically correct for me to refer to those in the pro-choice community this way, it is the truth. I'm sorry, but these pro-abortion groups are speaking out against the choice that a very brave woman, Pam Tebow, made. When they speak out, it is almost as if they are speaking out against life- Tim Tebow is that life. I come to this conclusion because these very same groups who are speaking out against this Focus on the Family advertisement are the very same groups who have NOT even seen the advertisement in question; instead, they are resorting to hate-filled tactics in order to spread, what seems to be, an anti-life message. I realize this is harsh, but I have no reason to believe otherwise especially when NOW and other female groups like them have yet to commend Pam Tebow on her decision to CHOOSE life, that's right NOW women, it was her choice, not yours. Get over it!

Just the other day, Sarah posted a Facebook Note in which she discussed the double standard of these so-called feminists. I am so proud of Sarah for speaking out against the double standard of so many groups that claim to be for women. I am so glad Sarah voiced her support for Tim Tebow and his mother's decision to choose life after doctors told her that it would be in her best interest to have an abortion. Just think how easy it would have been for Sarah, Pam and even Bristol to go into a clinic and get an abortion. Instead, they chose life, which illustrates that good can come from even the least of ideal circumstances. This is why I am proud to call myself pro-life.

Sarah, Pam and Bristol are my heroes. Trig, Tim and Tripp are living proof that good can definitely come out of difficult circumstances. These three individuals are living proof of the miracle of life. How dare feminist groups like NOW speak out against an advertisement that celebrates life? After all, where would these women be if their mothers had chosen to have an abortion? They would not be here today to speak out, voice their First-Amendment right and protest against this advertisement. As I stated above, I have yet to hear an argument that speaks out against the ad itself. When these groups attack groups like Focus on the Family, this further illustrates just how threatened they feel by a pro-life message and the groups who speak to the importance of choosing life.

I think these feminist groups could find a better use their time by going after advertisements that REALLY degrade women. I have some suggestions for them- how about going after companies like Go Daddy or PETA, who degrade women regularly. Like you, I love watching the Super Bowl and the advertisements that come with it, and just like in years past, I am sure Go Daddy and PETA will go for that “shock value” as these companies do every year come Super Bowl Sunday. Where are you NOW when women like me could use some real support? Oh yeah, that’s right, you stand silent. You stood silent when Sarah, Bristol and Willow were sexually degraded and personally attacked on a daily basis, and you stand silent now. How dare you call yourselves supporters of women, when it is clear you have a hidden agenda of only standing by those who share your values?

While I do not agree at all with Hillary Clinton politically, I repeatedly posted on my blog and spoke out publicly my anger at those who attacked Hillary and degraded her. Like Sarah, Hillary was put through the ringer and did not deserve to be treated the way she was. Sarah was right when she said that it is harder to be a woman in politics. It is harder because you have feminist groups like NOW who preach tolerance and equality, but show the most hate and intolerance for women who don’t agree with them and their message. I will say that there is a difference between Sarah and Hillary. While feminist groups like NOW stood by Hillary and supported her, they remained silent when Sarah and her daughters were attacked with the vilest attacks imaginable. This is further proof that these women just don’t get it. They may claim to support all women, but we KNOW the truth.

I am so proud to be a pro-life, modern-day feminist, and I will forever be grateful to all women who choose life. It is clear that life will throw you curveballs, but it is all about how you choose to go about hitting those curveballs out of the ballpark. While abortion may seem like the easy way out, it is important to think about that little life you are carrying inside of you. Think about this little life and the contributions this little girl or boy will bring to the world around them. When you think about this, it all is put into perspective, and it all makes sense. Think about all of the babies who are aborted each year and every year. Little angels who didn’t get the choice to live. Don’t they deserve the chance to succeed? Don’t they deserve the chance to grow up and be the valedictorian, the prom queen, the star athlete, the doctor, the lawyer, the veterinarian, or the president? They sure do. They deserve the same opportunities members of so-called feminist groups have been given. I applaud CBS for doing the right thing and agreeing to air the Tebow family advertisement, and like Sarah, I hope they stand firm next to the decision to let it air!
