Sarah did it again Sunday!!! She stood tall and spoke strongly and clearly-no rambling, msm-about everything from the biased media to the problems with big government. As she spoke from the heart-something she does better than any politician I have ever heard since Ronald Reagan, I heard that fighting spirit that her supporters have come to know and love. Her final speech as governor definitely illustrated the passion and love she had as governor of the great state of Alaska, yet also illustrated her intended desire to spread the common sense message Americans, like myself, are so eager to hear.
There were many parts of the speech that I loved. In true maverick fashion, Sarah gave the media a piece of her mind, which as a former journalism student captivated my heart. All my regular readers now how I feel about what the media have become, and I commend the gov for letting the media have it so to speak. As a former journalist, she studied the same thing in school that I did, and the so-called media of today have become unrecognizable. As Sarah mentioned in her farewell speech, the media of today find it totally acceptable to report false stories and take unfair shots at children of political candidates, which not surprisingly never includes the children of President Obama. Unfortunately these issues have become so commonplace that it is hard to identify the truth anymore. For more on media bias, scroll down and read my post entitled "Slime Journalism."
A highlight from her farewell speech came when Sarah told the crowd that she was going to use her first-amendment right. This spoke volumes to me because this is what America is all about, but sometimes you wouldn't even know it in the age of Obama. In Obama's world, if someone chooses to speak out against him or any of his policies, it is as if they are committing treason. Whatever happened to the America in which speaking out was a right, not a punishment? Sarah hit the nail on the head with her assessment regarding the first-amendment; it's about time someone reminds us that we have the right to stand up and hold our politicians and government officials accountable for they work for US!
Sarah's words on the government in general were also very inspiring and right on target. We live in an age in which the government is taking over our lives. Simple daily acts are becoming harder to achieve because the government has decided that it knows how to run our lives better than we do. I don't know about you, but I sure as hell don't want the same government that has virtually bankrupted our children's futures in charge of my health care decisions. The common phrase, "government's the problem, not the solution" could not be more true. Sarah gets it when it comes to government. Like us, she KNOWS a smaller government is a more efficient government. With spending out of control, the government keeps assuming it knows best when WE the people REALLY know what is best for us and our families. This is what is so refreshing about Sarah- she understands; she gets it. Why can't the msm and liberal haters see this? The answer is easy:They are too blinded to what is really going on. Instead of reporting the facts about the threat of big government, they continue to sugarcoat the truth. Luckily we have Sarah to give us the straight talk we so desperately crave! Sarah is our voice in these hard times, and is not afraid to give us the facts. Thank God! It's about time someone cares for average Americans. This is a woman who loves her country and actually takes the time to thank our military men and women instead of apologizing for their actions on the battlefield. I'm sick and tired of the apologies, and I have a feeling Sarah is too. It's about time someone took a stand. As the days go by, she is going to be our voice, and I couldn't be more thrilled and excited to have her as the voice of reason. So rock on, Sarah, and continue to speak out because we ARE listening!!!!
(On a side note, I just want to thank fabulous Sarah Palin's hairdresser extraordinaire Jessica Steele, of the fabulous Beehive Beauty Shop in Wasilla, AK for sending me the beautiful Beehive Beauty Shop T-shirt. I love it and will wear it proudly!)

Straight from the Heart, NOT the Teleprompter: Thank You, Sarah!!!
The Presidential election of 2008 changed my once-held perceptions about politics and political candidates. Prior to this election, I viewed presidential elections as, in the words of Sarah, a good-old-boy network of sorts, in which only elite and powerful males came out to play. Sarah Palin changed this status quo, and I couldn't thank her more for all she has done to inspire young women like me all over the country. She literally changed this powerful good-old-boy network into a place where conservative women could take a stand, knowing that we too had a voice and could make a change for the better. Now, don't get me wrong, I know women have been involved in politics for many years, but Sarah is the first woman who has inspired me to KNOW I can make a difference. Not only was she the first woman to become governor of the great state of Alaska, but she was the first woman to become the Republican Party's Vice-Presidential nominee. Sarah has cracked the mold for conservative women everywhere, and I thank her for putting a few more cracks in a ceiling that once seemed unbreakable. When the presidential election of 2008 was off and running, the candidate whom I hoped would lead our great country was none other than America's Mayor, Rudy Guilliani. I really admire Rudy for the way in which he inspired a nation following the horrific events of September 11, 2001. His no-nonsense approach, love and commitment to our country inspired me to the point that I knew he would make a tremendous leader for America. When John McCain ended up the last man standing as the Republican Party's nominee, I had to admit that I was not too excited or overjoyed, yet when looking at the options on the other side of the table, I threw my support to a man who had fought and sacrificed for our country. I knew I could count on McCain to work tirelessly to protect our country and remain fiscally conservative.
I started this blog for two reasons. Lisa, who runs the blog "Why Mommy is a Republican," told me that I should be writing and that a blog was a great place to start. I urge you all to check out her great blog and become a follower. Lisa not only gets the truth out there, but she is not afraid to be candid and set the record straight. The day John McCain announced Sarah to be his running mate had to be the happiest I had ever been, politically speaking. History had been made, and immediately I was transformed from someone who had simply just voted to fulfill my civic duty into someone who wanted to stand up and make a difference. I know this may sound corny to some of you, but as a young woman, I felt that I was finally being represented politically because a conservative woman, yes a conservative woman, had been nominated to the second highest job in the land. I need to make something very clear: The simple fact that Sarah Palin is a woman was not the main selling point for me. I have never voted for someone based upon gender. While I admire all women in the political arena, I always look at their beliefs and opinions on issues I care most about. THIS is how Sarah Palin earned my support. Now, with that said, the fact that she was a woman did make me look up to her in a way I had never been able to do toward any male politician in the past. (I believe the same can said for female supporters of female democratic politicians as well.) As I became more familiar of Sarah's life-story, I saw a woman who worked extremely hard to get to the level she was at politically. I also saw a woman who shared many of the values I hold most dear. Her pro-life, pro-traditional family values, pro-God, pro-small business, pro-second amendment, pro-fiscal conservative values and beliefs are the same values and beliefs I hold most dear. She didn't just talk about these values, as many politicians tend to do today, but she actually illustrated these values on a daily basis throughout the campaign and continues to do so to this day. She is a life-long member of the NRA, her family owns a small business, her record as governor illustrates her success as a fiscal conservative, and precious little Trig is a testament to everything we in the pro-life community hold most dear. In choosing to keep Trig, Sarah is illustrating everything it means to love a child unconditionally. I have learned so much from Sarah's love for Trig and her other children and look to her as a prime example of what a mother's love should symbolize.
Sarah inspires me to want to do great things. She is a woman who came from humble beginnings, which gives hope to average-day Americans like me who did not go to a fancy ivy league school or have a membership to that prestigious country club. Sarah's dedication to the people is one of the main aspects I admire most about her. She is not afraid to get down on my level and just have a good heart-to-heart about the issues that effect people like me. Her ability to connect with a large variety of Americans is no act. I will never forget during the presidential campaign when Hillary was at a local bar and took a shot of liquor. I could tell that this was something she was not used to doing-it was a total act. Sarah, on the other hand, just has that Ronald Reagan ability to make voters feel comfortable in their own skin because she is comfortable in hers, and this is a quality that is very hard to come by these days. Not only did Sarah inspire me to start this blog, but she has inspired me want to spread her commonsense message. I have what I like to call my Pre-Sarah and Post-Sarah days. In the days of Pre-Sarah, if someone said something that I politically did not agree with or slandered our commander in chief, I would have just quietly sat there without so much as saying a word. Ever since Sarah stepped onto the national stage, what I call my post-Sarah days, I no longer sit back and let this happen. While I may not convince people that they are wrong in their assumptions, I, at least, let my feelings be known, and contrary to popular belief, the people on the other end come to respect me and my opinion for the mere fact that I took a stand. I no longer fear being attacked for standing up for what I believe in for I know that I have the right to stand up when I see the principles and ideals I hold most dear threatened, and this is all because Sarah stands up for what she believes in. No matter how viciously and ferociously she and her family are attacked, she continues the good fight because she believes in the message she is spreading. Instead of sitting down and throwing in the towel, she perseveres onward for a cause greater than self and for love of country. She accomplished more during her time as governor of AK than most governors are able to accomplish in one or two terms. Many people, including some of my own friends, believe she made the wrong decision in resigning as AK's governor. I believe she made one of the smartest moves in political history. Not only is she NOT going to be considered a lame-duck governor, but she is giving her lieutenant governor the head start at governing, which gives the people of AK the benefit of seeing Sean Parnell in action, which, if all goes smoothly, should give AK a republican governor in the 2010 gubernatorial election. In resigning, Sarah is not only helping her state, but herself as well because now that she is not tied down to the governor's office, she is able to travel across the country to spread a commonsense message that so many people are craving during a time in which so many are hurting. I like to refer to the Obama administration not as "hope and change," but "hype and pain," for they are literally re-defining America and all she stands for. I cannot wait for Sarah to get out and speak on the effectiveness of smaller government, the importance of tax cuts, the benefits of small business, as well as about the gut wrenching, yet apparent path America is taking toward socialism. People are craving to hear her message, as the polls are suggesting. She is more popular now than she was prior to announcing she would resign as AK's governor. The unconventional way in which she goes about things is what draws people toward her. People are sick and tired of the politics as usual, and I am one of them. I am ready for someone to represent me and to truly fight for me and the conservative values I hold. Perhaps Dennis Miller said it best when he told Bill O'Reilly that the more the media harass and pick on Sarah, the more he respects and admires her-I couldn't agree more. So on behalf of Palinistas everywhere: thank you, Sarah, for not being afraid to take a stand! Thank you, Sarah, for speaking the truth! Thank you, Sarah, for the integrity you possess! And finally, thank you, Sarah, for inspiring women all over our great country to not be afraid to stand up and fight for what we believe in!!!

Waxie Buildup?
"I have to get my little hands on that copy of the latest issue of 'Time Magazine'; you know, the one with Sarah on the cover,' I told my mom today as we were shopping for the next set of guests to arrive at the cabin. I knew this was not going to be an easy task. I had already struck out three times in my attempts to find the magazine in San Diego, and as a former high school softball player those aren't great statistics. But I knew I had to push on to get my Sarah Palin cover. I was starting to get discouraged, thinking that I may not be as lucky as some of my fellow Palinistas who were lucky enough to get ahold of a copy. Low and behold, I was able to get my hands on the last copy at Ralley's Grocery Store, which was an awesome feat in itself considering the store employee whom I talked to said they didn't regularly carry the magazine. He told me my best bet would be to investigate the checkout areas. As I was doing so, my hopes were fading, when I immediately saw what I had been looking for-I was so excited that I didn't even care that the issue had a folded crease on one side. I felt like that kid Ralphie from the movie "A Christmas Story" when he received that Red Ryder BB-gun.
When I got back to the cabin, I couldn't wait to get down to the lake and just sit back and read my magazine. As I was reading the article, I immediately noticed a familiar issue that is present in almost every msm article or report on Sarah. While the majority of article was surprisingly positive, the issue that still remained had to do with the fact that yet another msm outlet admits to still not knowing Sarah. I immediately stopped and had to sit back for a minute to reflect on this statement. How can these people not know who Sarah is by now? To me, Sarah is an open book, a straight shooter. Unlike many politicians in the political arena today, she is about as honest as they come. As a governor, she had an open-door policy with the press that dates back to her time as mayor of Wasilla. How many other mayors do you know who actually handled the press on their own? Not only is Sarah an open book, but her high level of integrity and perseverance speak volumes. This is a woman who puts the people of her state first, which is a rarity in today's culture of special interests and payoffs. Unlike other governors, Sarah took on members of her own party if it meant the people would benefit more in the long run; she is an independent woman who tackled the special interests head on and succeeded. I'm sorry, but is it that hard to see who Sarah Palin is by now? I could go on and on giving you endless examples of who Sarah Palin, the person, is, but you know who she is as well as I do. This is a woman who has inspired a nation of individuals with her determination and sheer grit, a woman who has proven that she is capable of doing great things for this country. I don't know about you, but it is hard to think of any other female politician around whom blogs have been developed. How many Hillary-centered blogs can you name off the top of your head? Yes, this is not your typical politician.
Another aspect of the article that I took issue with was discussion about Sarah's lack of experience or as "Time" calls it a "flimsy resume." Did they forget that she was the only individual on either ticket in the last presidential election who had executive experience? Although the magazine is quick to point out that it may be as good a time as any for a so-called "flimsy resume," this is yet another msm attempt to undermine the powerhouse who is Sarah Barracuda. Not only is AK the largest state, but it holds the key to energy independence. I'm sorry, but if anyone wants to discuss a "flimsy resume," why don't we look at community organizer extraordinaire, Barack Obama, who served only there years in the senate before becoming president, not to mention that he was campaigning a large portion during those three years. So before the msm want to harp on Sarah's resume, let's look at who is in the White House, shall we?
One last tidbit that I HAVE to bring up is an issue that has been brought up more than once in regards to Sarah's resignation speech. Like other media outlets, "Time" mentioned that Sarah's speech included what they determined to be "strange ramblings." I'm sorry, but did they hear the same speech I heard? I heard a woman who spoke from the heart, not the teleprompter, a woman who put her whole heart and soul into helping her state grow and prosper, a woman who wants to continue to lead her own way thus going about things the unconventional way. This is the Sarah Palin you and I have grown to know and love. A woman who is not afraid to, as she said during the campaign, "shake things up." Perhaps Sarah put it best when she told "Time," "Take the words of General MacArthur. He said 'We are not retreating. We are advancing in another direction.'" An inspirational quote from an inspirational woman. Maybe the rambling "Time" heard was the wax buildup in their ears, or maybe it resides in the fact that the msm DO NOT want to hear her. Either way, I pretty sure they are going to BE hearing from her and a lot more often. Let's just hope they clean the wax out of their ears beforehand.

Slime Journalism
I have to be honest with you all for a minute. This post was, perhaps, the hardest I have written so far because I am so angry and outraged with what I see going on in the main stream media (msm) today, and as a result, this may be the most honest post I have written to date. In the words of a great American, Sean Hannity, "Journalism is dead." This statement couldn't be more true. The journalism of today has become so distorted and untrue that it's hard for me to actually admit that I studied journalism in college. Where is the objective, fair journalism of the past? Where is the media organization that I was once so proud to call myself a member of? While in college, I learned to always check my sources- a anonymous source was not a credible source. I also learned that if you wanted the honest answers, you had to ask the tough questions. My professors taught me to have journalistic integrity and to live by the journalistic creed of ethics and responsibility. I learned to always work my hardest while upholding my morals and integrity. I learned about the importance of the five W's (who?, what?, when?, where?, why?) and about the meaning of playing fair. I will never forget getting a "0" on a story because I put the word "and" instead of "or" when giving the symptoms of an incurable disease. Looking back at this experience, I remember thinking why one word mattered so much? Now, I understand. Facts are facts and should be correctly reported. Had my story been printed in a newspaper, I would have lost all credibility as a journalist. This brings me to the problem at hand with the majority of so-called journalists today. The media have become what would be classified as "Yellow Journalism." Instead of reporting the truth, the media are so hell-bent on getting their story out there, they have forgotten to check out the facts, which is the number one rule of journalism. It seems that in the age of Obama, tabloid journalism has taken precedent. Journalists have forgotten whom they work for- us. Furthermore, the msm journalists are on mission to exploit and degrade those whom they see as a threat to the president they worked so hard to elect. This is definitely not the fair-minded journalism of the past.
While in college, I was determined to one day be like Katie Couric. As a young woman, I used to look up to her because she had a dream job and represented everything I thought a journalist should. Boy, was I wrong! The election of 2008 changed the perception I used to have of Ms. Couric. When I first heard Sarah was going to be interviewed by Katie, I thought that as a woman, Katie would know firsthand what it was like to be a successful woman; instead, Katie illustrated the harsh reality of how corrupt the msm have become. She is a great example of a journalist who has gone from a woman who reported the facts objectively and fairly into a tabloid journalist on a mission to destroy a great woman's good name just so her messiah can be seen as angelic in the eyes of her viewers. Shame on you, Ms. Couric! What are you teaching up-and-coming journalists- that it's okay to report dishonestly and spitefully? You took what would have been a great opportunity to expand the playing field for women in the political arena, and instead chose to belittle and degrade a woman of high political standing, one of the few female governors and high-ranking female politicians who exist today. Was is worth it, Katie? Sure you got a little more airtime and a short-lived ratings' boost, but in the process you hurt women everywhere who have worked so hard to achieve great things. I wonder how Katie would feel if the shoe been on the other foot? What if she was treated the terrible, biased way that she treated Sarah? What if she was mocked and asked ridiculous questions that held no bearing to the job she sought to hold? I guarantee little Miss Couric would be singing a different tune. It wasn't too long ago that she became the first woman to anchor an evening news broadcast. I remember how proud I was to be a woman when this was announced. Doesn't she remember that, like Sarah, she was ridiculed and treated unfairly when she stepped into her new role? I guess Katie, being the so-called feminist she is, couldn't bring herself to compare the treatment she received to the treatment a former small-town mayor from AK received? How hypocritical is that? So, in typical bully fashion, in order to build herself up, she decided she would do her best to bring Sarah down. It's funny because all she got out of it was a short-lived ratings' boost, a little attention, and some stupid award at a ceremony where she took yet another chance to belittle and mock Sarah. By the way, Katie, Sarah never said she could see Russia from her house, but I guess if you would have checked your facts, you would have found this to be untrue.
The aspects that bother me most about the so-called journalism of today is the use of anonymous sources and false, misleading stories. While you and I could think of so many examples of both of these aspects, it is what has been falsely reported most recently that has me extremely angry and troubled about the evil that resides in the whole journalism industry. Last night, I was listening to a local Sacramento News report on the radio when it was reported that the New York "Slimes," I mean "Times," falsely reported that Sarah's hairdresser said Sarah had been so stressed out lately that her hair had started thinning. As I listened, I could not believe what I was hearing. Right away, I knew the Times was up to its old tricks of falsifying a story, only this time, they had hit a new low. They had the nerve to use a good person who was close to Sarah to develop a juicy, gossip-filled story while continuing their all-out assault on her. As everyone who has a hairdresser knows, the relationship you form with that person is very special and unique. While getting your hair done, you form an unbreakable bond of trust and respect. Sarah's hairdresser does not deserve to be treated this way; Sarah's friends and family do not deserve to be treated this way.
This falsified story is yet another example of how low the msm will go to get a story. With false stories like these, it is no wonder the "New York Times" and media outlets like it are on the verge of extinction. How low must a media outlet go before they stop to see the damage they have caused? It breaks my heart to think about what the young journalism students of today are learning? How are they 100% positive that the paper or new's station they are citing is 100% accurate in their reporting? I'm sorry, but if you ask me, the "New York Times" has become just about as accurate as "Wikipedia". Perhaps singer, Jessica Andrews, puts it best in her song "Karma: 'Go on, go on, go have your day in the sun. Have a blast, honey, have you some fun. But don't forget about that golden rule- what you do to others is gonna get done to you. What comes around, goes around. I'm tellin' you, baby, it's called karma. What goes up comes down, hits the ground. You're gonna find out, all about, all about ka-ka-ka-ka-ka karma.'" Couldn't have said it any better myself.
As I sit here writing this, I think about all of the great journalists who have come and gone- greats such as Tony Snowe, Tim Russert, David Bloom and Walter Cronkite. What would they have to say about an industry they worked so hard to keep honest? These men KNEW how to ask the tough questions, yet they were respected and admired for the way they kept journalism honest and fair. It occurs to me that with these great men, one never knew to which political party they belonged to, if any. Instead, we have today's media, which are defined by so-called journalists who publicly cry at presidential inaugurations, get thrills up their legs, bow to the commander-in-chief, and even journalists who don't bother to correct the president when he gets the name of a Major League Baseball stadium wrong. If there is any good to come from this tragedy, it's that with every false, sensationalized story that is written, more and more people are beginning to realize how destructive the msm has become. So, I say, "bring it on!" People are smarter than the msm think. We are not going to just sit back and watch as our country is taken over. There is evidence that we starting to be heard. A wide variety of newspaper outlets have seen a drop in their readerships. The David Letterman's of this world are also suffering. Letterman's degrading remarks about Sarah and her daughter not only cost him sponsors, but the outrage he received from the majority of the country served as a huge wake-up call. It is just sad that Sarah and her family had to suffer in the process. As I have mentioned before, no other female politician has had to suffer as much. It's time for the media to wise up and admit that they have failed, but I'm not holding my breath for an apology. It is our job as Americans to keep the msm honest. Don't be afraid to speak up if you see a biased story or cancel your subscription to a newspaper or magazine because chances are, you are not the only person taking action. There are a lot of us who are fed up with the state of the media today. So, next time you want to yell at the TV, or in my case, throw a high-heel at the it, voice your objections. Do it for Sarah, do it for her friends and family, do it for the other good, honest people out there, and most importantly do it for yourself because as the saying goes, good always overcomes evil in the end.
Sarah: The Voice We NEED to Reclaim Our Country
There is no denying Sarah Palin is more popular than ever. Not only did Sarah take a huge political gamble in announcing she would be resigning from office, but she confirmed what we, her supporters, have known all along: Sarah is a woman who follows her heart and puts her state and country first. In resigning, Sarah also demonstrated her political savvy. This is a woman who knows how to get things done. As she mentioned in her resignation announcement speech, she has done more in her first-term as Alaska's governor than most governors accomplish in one or even two terms. The state of AK has flourished and grown economically under her leadership and dedication. As governor, she put the people of her state first and worked countless hours, with a servant's heart. As a Californian, I look at a state like AK with admiration because AK is an example of a state that has flourished and learned to cope despite the economic turmoil our country finds itself in. I hope the people of AK know how lucky they are to have had a great governor who actually cared for her state and its people. Let me tell you something: I'd give anything to have a governor who actually cared and was fiscally conservative. If given the chance, I'd trade Arnold for Sarah any day.
During the 2008 presidential campaign, I remember Sarah telling the crowds that John McCain did not run with the Washington heard. While this may be the case, I see Sarah as the REAL example of someone who does not run with the Washington heard. This is one of the many reasons I admire her so much, and I believe many other Americans feel the same way as I do. Sarah marches to the beat of her own drum; she is not afraid to take a risk. This was evident in her decision to resign. Many in the media saw her decision as the end of her political career. The msm immediately scratched her name from the top of the list of those favored to win the 2012 republican nomination and placed it at the bottom under Governor Mark Sanford of all people. Others had the nerve to suggest she announced her resignation because of some sort of scandal; thus, her name was immediately put in the same category as Mark Sanford and John Ensign. We already know the msm have no credibility, but when they tried to compare Sarah to these two adulterers, the msm hit a new low. It is my personal opinion that Americans are getting sick and tired of the msm's attempt to ruin Sarah Palin's good and honest name. The more the msm attack her, the more popular she becomes to average-day American like you and me. Her not running with the Washington heard also is what attracts people to her. For far too long, the fat cats in Washington have ignored us. Instead of working FOR us and putting our best interests at heart, they seem to be working against us. Instead of listening to us, they have ignored us with the exception of one brave woman: our Sarah. With Sarah, we have, for the first time in many years, someone who actually listens to us and understands our daily struggles because she shares some of these struggles. Like us, Sarah works hard day in and day out with a faith in God and a love for country. Like the great gipper, Ronald Reagan, she gives us hope that America's best days are in front of us, not behind us.
It is hard to name any other politician who seems to inspire us the way Sarah is able of inspire us-it is undeniable. There is no denying it that Sarah brings something that no other modern-day conservative politician has been able to bring, and this is why she is feared by so many. The old guard of the Republican Party fear her because she offers a fresh, new alternative to the boring policies of the past. This "new energy" seems to be what people are craving. The Mitt Romneys and Mike Huckabees of the Republican Party are old news, and people are craving the REAL change they can believe in, a change that includes prosperity and security. A change that inspires people to want to make the world they live in a better place for their children and grandchildren. Sarah is the change we need. July 27th begins a new phase in Sarah's life. As she mentioned during her announcement that she would resign from the governorship, she wants to help spread her message to Americans all over our great country. Sarah is a breath of fresh air to the politics-as-usual approach to governing, and her approval ratings have sky rocketed because people love her unconventional approach and commonsense message. When she speaks, people stop to listen. As I have stated before, Sarah talks to you, not above you. Whether people like her or not, they hear her. She is a voice for those of us who feel the folks in Washington aren't listening. Unlike many politicians today, Sarah is not an elitist who is led by special interest groups. Her post-announcement approval numbers reflect the faith that people have in her, but Sarah is a woman who has never lived her life by poll numbers;instead, she is a woman who goes with her gut and does what is right for the good people of AK. The more people see of Sarah, the more they will come to see that she IS a woman who leads by example. She does not need anyone to tell her what is best for America because she KNOWS what is best for our country. Just as AK prospered under her great leadership, America will prosper under her inspiring message of conservatism and fiscal responsibility. I know one should not rely on popularity polls, but as a proud Palinista, the numbers illustrate that the rest of America are starting to see what we already knew: Sarah is a true leader who puts people first, and I don't know about you, but it's about time.

A True Modern-Day Feminist
As I write this entry, I'm currently at, what I like to refer to as, the most beautiful place in the world: my cabin on a beautiful lake in the Sierra Nevadas. Now, while I call it the most beautiful place in the world, I believe everyone has that special place they love to escape to. For me it is at a secluded lake near Lake Tahoe, at a cabin that has been in my family for almost three decades. This is a place where I have grown up, a place where I have formed lifelong friendships. As I think about the friends I have made and grown up with, I think about how lucky and fortunate I am to have these special people in my life. Every friend I have is special to me, but my lake friends, as I like to call them, have known me my entire life, and I can't wait for my kids to grow up with their kids-what a special place! Friends are those who stick by you through thick and thin. Friends are your support system; where would one be without friends or family? It is common nature to want to protect them just as much as you would a family member. Now, while I have never personally met Sarah Palin, I consider her to be friend of sorts, for it is almost like I know her. She seems like the kind of person you could just sit down and have a cup of coffee with or her favorite- a Diet Dr. Pepper. I have met some people who have actually met her, and they tell me she is as genuine in person as she appears to be when I see her on TV. Just as I am quick to defend my friends and family, I do the same for Sarah. The question that I get asked a lot as I'm sure many of you do is: "What is it with liberal women and their hateful, vindictiveness toward Sarah Palin? Now, I know many liberals and some republicans, for that matter, have attacked Sarah repeatedly since she was picked to be John McCain's running mate back at the end of August 2008, but as a woman, the treatment she has endured from her female counterparts has been the most troubling. What ever happened to building your sister up? What ever happened to the female camaraderie? Now, don't get me wrong, I have no problem with disagreeing on someone's policies and political stance, but it is totally uncalled for when a woman takes personal cheap shots at another woman and her family. So-called feminists preach equality and acceptance, but when it comes to Sarah, they seem to take exception.
Instead of practicing what they preach, these women continuously attack Sarah with the most viral language I have ever heard in my life- you would think they were talking about someone who has been convicted of a heinous crime, not a successful, strong woman with an amazing life story, a woman who has worked from the bottom up without so much as a handout. You would think all women would applaud her accomplishments. She is woman who other women should model themselves after. Sarah is a women who seems to have it all: a loving husband, a great marriage and five beautiful children while balancing her family life with a full-time career. It seems pretty clear she is the poster-woman for balancing career and family. While it is easy for me to classify Sarah this way, many women on the left don't see it this crystal clear. After thinking long and hard on the reasoning for this, I have come to the conclusion that their hatred stems from the fact that Sarah stands for everything they have fought so hard against. These so-called feminists who believe a woman doesn't need a man or family to be content and who believe in a woman's right to choose are simply threatened, yes threatened by everything Sarah stands for. Liberal women also cannot stand the fact that she chose to have her son, Trig. Recently I heard a caller on the Rush Limbaugh program give excellent reasoning for why women on the left hate Sarah so much. The caller said these same women who criticize Sarah are those who would never have the courage to carry a child with Down's Syndrome to term; instead, they would be cowardly and abort their precious baby. This says a lot about these women who belittle a woman who displays more courage than all these cowardly liberal women combined. It is sad to think that about 90% of babies are aborted once their parents learn they will be born with special needs. All life is precious, and Trig is living proof of this. As Sarah said during her resignation speech, Trig has taught her more than anyone else she knows.
Not only is Trig a precious life, he is living proof of the joys that come from having children. It is so easy to see this, but the liberal women who attack Sarah are so closed minded that they see Sarah and Trig as threats to everything they hold most dear. Why else would these women be so offended at seeing Sarah holding this precious baby during the campaign? Whenever Sarah did this, it served as a reminder of her decision to choose life; she truly not only talks the talk, but walks the walk. It is my personal opinion that Sarah and Trig have had some effect on the whole pro-life/ pro-choice debate. Now, for the first time in many years, more people than ever identify themselves as pro-life. Sarah has shown us that children like Trig are precious and should be cherished. Although children like Trig will grow up with a few more challenges than other children, the joys they will experience will far outweigh any challenge they may face. Why can't the women who attack Sarah see this? They expect us to conform to their values, yet they are unable to accept the values we hold most dear.
As a young woman, Sarah is my idea of a modern-day feminist. She is such a great role model to me and other young women everywhere. Like Sarah, I hope to one day be involved in politics. She has shown me that I can not only do this, but be a wife and mother too. It is all about having a healthy balance between work and family. The women who attack Sarah Palin want young women like me to believe otherwise. It is as if I have to believe in their perception of what the ideal woman should do in order to have a full filled life, anything else would be unacceptable. I'm sorry, women on the left, but Sarah is the real definition of what it is to be a modern-day feminist. The fact that the attackful women on the left hate her so much makes me admire her even more. She is a woman to admire, not attack. In closing, I have to wonder if Sarah would be treated this way if she was a member of the left? The answer is simple : Of course not!!! While I felt terrible for the way Hillary Clinton was treated during the election, the terrible treatment she experienced didn't even come close to the scrutiny Sarah and her family endured and continue to endure. Sarah has taken more punches than any other woman in political history, but she rebounds with each and every punch that comes her way. I hate to break it to those liberal women who continue to attack her, but "Sarah isn't going anywhere!" She is here to stay, and I can't wait to help her as she fights for Americans everywhere with her commonsense message. It's about time conservative women like me have a female role-model in politics, a woman who holds the same values as us because I don't know about you, but I'm sick of liberal female politicians who try to act as if they understand me when clearly they don't. So, Sarah, on behalf of women everywhere: "Thank you for representing women like ME. We got your back-fight on girlfriend, and we WILL continue to fight tooth and nail for you and your awesome family!!!"

Unconventional Catch
You would be hard-pressed to find another individual as real and down-to-earth as Sarah Palin. The other day, I was channel surfing when Sarah appeared on the screen. What caught my eye immediately was that Sarah was decked out in head-to-toe fishing gear- She is definitely not your typical politician whom you never see in anything other than a suit- How cool is that? Like Sarah, I am an avid outdoors woman. I love to fish, hike and just be outside in the fresh air. Just as Sarah felt in her element standing on the Bristol Bay shoreline, talking to reporters, I feel in my element while sitting out in a boat in the middle of a lake at my family’s cabin near Lake Tahoe. It is great to be able to just get away from the noise and experience the beauty that nature has to offer. Just as Sarah told NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, she doesn’t mind rolling up her sleeves and getting dirt underneath her fingernails if it means she is doing what she loves. This is not your typical politician. This is an unconventional politician who knows that taking risks can pay off. The latest polls show her decision to resign from the governorship of Alaska has not hurt her politically contrary to what the media may be telling you. On the contrary, she is more popular than ever. She has an approval rating among republicans in the high 70 percentile, and an approval rating in the mid-40s among independents. While these numbers are good, it is important to note that the next presidential election is three years away. Sarah, undoubtedly, will be speaking out about issues that are important to Americans, and I bet her approval ratings are going to increase.
While taking reporters around on her family’s fishing boat, Sarah was a woman in control. The way she came across and carried herself demonstrates how much she loves her state and the hard-working people of AK. Her decision to step down illustrates this as well. The things she has accomplished as governor take most governors one-to two- terms to accomplish. As Sarah stated this past Friday, the baseless amount of ethic complaints against her is not only hurting her family financially, but financially hurting the state on AK. Although each of these complaints has been dismissed, it is still costing her family and the state of AK money to fight these baseless allegations. Sarah is also doing what I wish my governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, would do: Instead of being considered a lame-duck governor, collecting a paycheck, Sarah is stepping aside. This is a very smart move politically because now the lieutenant governor has a chance to put himself in good standing with the people of AK, which, in turn, may help him when the election for governor is held next year. And the msm has the nerve to belittle this woman’s intellect?
Sarah is a woman we understand. Just as I mentioned on Eddie Burke’s show yesterday, we understand everything this woman says. While it is easy for us to understand where she is coming from, the liberal msm seem to have trouble comprehending a woman who speaks from the heart. The reason being that the msm DON’T want to hear her. They have branded judgment on this woman because she does not fit the stereotypical mold of the typical female politician. She represents everything feminists have fought so hard against. She a pro-life, pro-second amendment, pro-traditional family values self-described feminist, and the left hate her for holding these values. I hate to break it to the liberal msm establishment, but the majority of Americans share Sarah’s values. Now, I’m not a gambling woman, but if I had to put my money on who will be left standing in the end, I’m going with Sarah.
Watching Sarah in her waders and rubber boots, cruising around on the boat, fishing made me want to be up at my family’s cabin, which has been in my family for nearly three decades. There is something about being in the great outdoors that puts a feeling of calm over me. I refer to the Sierra Nevadas as God’s country. The beauty of the mountain ranges, the crystal-clear blue water, the deer, marmots, chipmunks and squirrels make the Sierras a majestic place that I refer to as my second home, my home away from home. Like Sarah, I love to put on my knee-high rubber boots (mine are pink), grab my fishing poll and escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Everyone has that one special place that they escape to when they just want to get away, and this is mine. Bristol Bay is that special place for Sarah where she can just put her hair down and have a good time helping her husband with their commercial fishing business. You betcha she’s unconventional, and I wouldn’t want her any other way.

Eddie Rocks!!!
I just wanted to post a brief post regarding the amazing day I had today. First off, I want send out a BIG thank you to any new readers of my blog. I hope you have as much fun reading my posts as I do writing them. I also want to thank AK. #1 Talk Radio Host Eddie Burke for allowing me the great opportunity of coming on his fantastic show. It was an experience I never will forget. I studied journalism in college and worked at a local news station here in San Diego, but none of that compares to the amazing time I had on-air today. As I had said before, Eddie is a straight shooter and not afraid to tell it like it is. As a huge Sarah supporter, I had the opportunity to let people know how much of an asset she is to not only her state, but to the lower 48 as well. Sarah has taken our country by storm, and she is just getting started. I cannot wait for her to come to the lower 48 to spread the REAL message of change. I cannot wait to hear her speak on energy independence, the importance of smaller government and capitalism, illegal immigration, the importance of keeping our military strong; I could go on and on. As I said on the show today, Sarah KNOWS how to communicate; she is not afraid to get her hands dirty. Sarah also is a huge supporter of our troops. As the mother of a United States service member, she identifies with other parents who face the hard task of saying goodbye to their children when they go off to serve our great country. This is the Sarah we know and love. This is a woman who gives of herself non-stop, who chooses country over self. She IS a woman with a servant’s heart. It is important that we continue to support her as she enters a new phase in her life.
Do you want to help spread the word about all that Sarah Palin has to offer our great country? If so, you all need to visit the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee Website at http://2012draftsarahcommittee.com, which was developed back in November. Draft Sarah is a true grassroots organization and is registered with the FEC. I encourage you to visit the Draft Sarah website and to sign the Draft Sarah 2012 petition. Heck, while your there you mine as well sign up to receive the online newsletter. If you want to volunteer, just look through the contact list of state organizers and contact them. I am actually the San Diego Regional Organizer, and if you are from the San Diego area, you can find my contact information there as well. Donations are also accepted. The donations will be used to make items such as bumper stickers and buttons as well as other tools needed to spread our message. Should Sarah decide to run for president in 2012, 2012 Draft Sarah will turn over all the contact information to the governor for her to use to begin her campaign. Draft Sarah is a great organization that is determined to help Sarah Palin. It is important to note that Sarah is not personally connected to the 2012 Draft Sarah Committee. We are just average-day Americans who want to make a difference and help Sarah. Wont you join us in helping Sarah? WE NEED YOU!!! Together, we can all make a difference and take back our country!!!

With a Servant's Heart

God has blessed me in so many ways. I thank him for giving me each and every amazing opportunity that has come my way. Yesterday, I was blessed yet again, and I must say that God DOES work in mysterious ways. First, let me give you a little update on what has been happening in this crazy little ride called life. As my readers know I called into Eddie Burke's radio show this past Friday. For those who have never heard
of Eddie or his show, you are definitely missing out. As Alaska's #1 Talk Radio Host, he is not afraid to speak up and give his viewers the straight talk they crave Eddie's show is aired Monday-Friday from 2-6 AK time, 3-6 pacific, and 6-9 eastern. If you live in Alaska, tune into AM 700 KBYR. If you live in the lower 48 like me, tune in online at www.kbyr.com. Also, if you are not following him on twitter,
follow him!!! He gives the inside scoop from an Alaskan's perspective with no msm spin that we, unfortunately, have become so accustomed to. His follow address is @talkradiohost!!! Let him know you are a fan of my blog and that you support him and AK. Tell him you admire the way he endlessly supports Governor Palin when so many in the media are constantly trying to bring her down!!! Keep up the good fight, Eddie!!!
Over the course of the last couple months, I have had a blast in developing and writing this blog. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read my posts; it means so much to me. I am excited to report that I am going to be a guest from time to time on Eddie's show to discuss Sarah and national issues. My first official appearance will be tomorrow-Monday- at about 3:30 AK time, 4:30 pacific time, and 7:30 eastern time. I am going to be talking with him about how people in the lower 48 feel about Sarah's decision to resign from the governor's office, the impact she has had on them as voters, and tea parties. As background in preparing for this appearance, I attended a local tea party yesterday in El Cajon, and I had a blast! I had been a regular at tea parties in the past, but yesterday was particularly special. I proudly brought my two signs that I spent hours working on the day before. One of them read "Read my Lipstick: No New Taxes!," and the other (my particular favorite) read "Sarah is Right!" The Sarah sign was a last minute choice in light of the events that transpired this past Friday. And readers, let me tell you something: Boy, oh boy, did the three words on this sign have a HUGE impact yesterday. As soon as I arrived at the tea party, one person after another came up to me telling me they loved my sign and, more importantly, how much they loved Sarah. Some of those I talked to had tears in their eyes as they discussed how much she inspires them as individuals. I saw myself in these people because like me, they view Sarah as one of them, a woman of the people. Many even compared to her to Ronald Reagan. I think Ronald Reagan's son, Michael said it best when he spoke of her after she gave that amazing speech at the Republican National Convention in an article "Welcome Back, Dad":
"I've been trying to convince my fellow conservatives, that they have
been wasting their time in a fruitless quest for a new Ronald Reagan
to emerge and lead our party and our nation. I insisted that we'd
never see his kind again because he was one of a kind. I was wrong...I
watched the Republican National Convention on television and there
before my very eyes, I saw my Dad reborn; only this time he's a she.
And what a she....As hard as you might try, you won't find that kind
of plain-spoken, down-to-earth, self-reliant American in the upper
ranks of the liberal-infested elitist Democratic Party....Sarah Palin
didn't go to Harvard, or fiddle around in urban neighborhood leftist
activism while engaging in opportunism within the ranks of one of the
nation's most corrupt political machines, never challenging it and
going along to get along, like Barack Obama.... Instead, she took on
the corrupt establishment in Alaska and beat it, rising to the
governorship while bringing reforms to every level of government she
served in on her way up the ladder....Welcome Back, Dad, even if
you're wearing a dress and bearing children this time around."
Michael Reagan is right. He knows his dad better than any msm pundit. He had the joy of watching his dad up close as his dad lead our great country. Just his dad had that spirit, Sarah has this same determination and sheer grit; they are a rare breed indeed.
The people I spoke with yesterday ARE the people of Ronald and Sarah. Hardworking Americans who are concerned about the direction our great country is headed toward. I had the great pleasure of not only talking to these great Americans, but addressing the crowd. The crowd not only greatly welcomed me, but as soon as I mentioned the name Sarah Palin, the crowd loudly applauded and cheered. I spoke of how she inspired and continues to inspire me to get involved politically. I also encouraged the young people in attendance to get involved politically, for the people of my generation are our future. We should be building them up, not tearing them down. You would not believe the amount of people who came up to me after I addressed the crowd who spoke of the intense pride and faith they have in Sarah and her message. If those I spoke with are deeply inspired by Sarah, just think of the millions of other American who feel the same way.
While at the tea party, I also had the opportunity to meet California State Assembly member Chuck Devore, who is looking to unseat Senator Barbara Boxer in the senate in 2010. He is a great individual and all-around-nice guy! California readers, it is SO important that we defeat the "don't call me ma'am" senator. We have to do whatever we can to help this great patriot, Chuck Devore, get elected in 2010. I had such an awesome time, and I cannot wait for the next tea party. I encourage all readers to get out and attend a tea party in your area. It is important we have our voices heard. You also will meet some of the most patriotic people and amazing veterans who risked their lives protecting our freedoms. You don't know how much a simple "thank you" means to them. It is the least we could do for everything they have done for us. I will have more on these brave men and women later in this post.
My day did not end after the tea party. My church was holding an event appropriately titled, "Celebrate America," so I went along with my mom and dad. This event literally changed my life. The songs, words spoken and patriotic theme truly changed my life and made me wonder how anyone could ever utter words such as "God Damn America" when we live in the greatest country on earth? We are given so many things that those in other countries will never get to experience. There are so many little things that I take for granted. I made a promise to myself yesterday that I am no longer going to do this-Not when our troops are risking their lives to keep us safe. They are the true heroes and should be thanked everyday for the sacrifices they have and continue to make for us on a daily basis. My favorite part of yesterday's event was when every past and present service member in attendance was called forward to accept a medal, a tiny memento of thanks. The men and women who came forward symbolize why we live in the greatest country in the world. I do not think there was a dry eye in the house when they played the theme song of each group of the armed forces. As they did, those in each category were asked to stand up so we could applaud them for their service. There was one serviceman that particularly caught my eye. He was a man who looked to be in his upper 80s or early 90s. As he stood, he waved to the crowd. Then, he began to direct the choir with his hands as they sang. He was so cute, and he immediately became my hero. This elderly man is a symbol of what makes America great. We have the right to stand up and speak out when we disagree with our government unlike many other countries. Look at what is currently going on in Iran? I guarantee the Iranian people would give anything to live in a free country where they can practice free speech. Although the faith we have in our country is currently being tested, everyone has to admit that we DO live in the greatest country around; we just have a little derailment problem going on right now. This is why it is so important to trust Sarah when she tells us that she know what she is doing. She has our best interests at heart.
At the close of the ceremony, my pastor announced that former presidential candidate and my former House of Representatives Congressman, Duncan Hunter, was in attendance. I have always respected him and am thankful to him for representing me as a fiscal conservative in congress. I am also thankful that his son, Duncan D. Hunter, has followed in his father's footsteps and is my congressman now. I knew I had to meet him and thank him for his service. I had my camera ready because I wanted to get a picture with him. The only problem was that one of the sky lights lit on fire after some confetti that they had dropped from the sky landed on one of the lights, resulting in a small fire. Everyone began to panic, but our pastor kept his calm and one of the church staff lowered the light and used a fire extinguisher to put the fire out. Thank God our church was spared. When the fire was put out, the journalist in me came to the surface, and I quickly hurried to the front to meet Congressman Hunter. When I met him, I shook his hand and thanked him for his military and political service. He was the kindest man. He graciously posed for a picture with me, and when I saw that I cut part of his head off (I'm only 5'4 without heels, and he is well over 6 feet tall), I told him, and he said "We can't have that," and posed with me again, only this time hunching down to my level. I thanked him again and as he shook my hand he said "You're welcome, ma'am." I have always thought "ma'am" was a very polite term unlike Senator Barbara Boxer.
So, readers, this pretty much sums up the weekend for me. I hope you all have had a blessed 4th eating yummy bbq, drinking a good drink, spending time with loved ones. While you do this, make sure to reflect on how lucky we are to live in America-Happy Birthday, America!!! Make sure to take the time not just this holiday weekend, but everyday to thank a service member, for you do not know how much these two words mean to them, just knowing someone cares and supports them. They are are true heroes. They're sweat, blood and tears are impacted into the ground we walk on. The freedoms we have today are because of them; let's let them know how much they mean to us!!! A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL VETERANS AND PRESENT SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN FOR FIGHTING FOR ME AND THE REST OF AMERICA!!!
(Make sure to tune into me tomorrow-Monday- on Eddie Burke's radio show. Listen online at http://www.kbyr.com. The show starts at 3 pacific time; I will be on at about 4:30 pacific time; thanks so much :)

Sarah: Woman of Grace
"Let's shake things up!" Familar words spoken by a true maverick. As my readers are probably aware, Sarah shocked the state of Alaska as well as the rest of America today when she announced not only that she would not seek re-election next year but that she will be resigning from her post as governor of the great state of Alaska in a matter of a few weeks. I actually did not learn of her announcement until a couple hours after when I turned on the news. Being that it is summer and I tutor college students, I am on my summer break. Since I am off of work, I have been spending some of my free time listening to talk radio. On days like today, I would normally have been listening to Rush Limbaugh, but for some reason, I did not feel like listening this morning. Instead, I began making my Tea Party signs for tomorrow's tea party. While making the signs, I decided to listen to one of my Contemporary Christian CDs entitled "Girls of Grace," which is collaborative effort by a variety of well-known female Christian artists. It was so nice to spend this quiet time just praising God and doing a little artwork. My mom always has taught me that things happen for a reason. In choosing this particular CD over the radio airwaves, I believe God was preparing my heart for the events that would occur later that day. As I was listening and working on my signs, my blackberry repeatedly kept going off in the other room. I wondered why that was, but I just ignored it and attributed it to it being Follow Friday on twitter; thus, I was being notified that I had another follower. How ironic that the emails and texts I got were referring to a woman I admire with all my heart, a woman I enjoy reading about on www.conservativesforpalin.com?
As you already know, Sarah Palin is one of the reasons I started this blog. Sarah has truly inspired me to want to be active in politics and one day run for office. Her strength, determination, and sheer grit are reasons I admire her such a great deal. Like you all, I was shocked to learn of her decision to resign from office, but I immediately realized that she is being led by a cause greater than self. Sarah's faith in God is another reason I respect her so much. She is woman who has God in the center of her life, and like me and you, she goes to Him when she needs guidance and direction. Just as she told Fox News's Greta Van Susteran last year, if God opens a door or gives her an opportunity, she is going to follow Him. Her decision today illustrates the faith she has in God and the plans he has for her.
After learning of Sarah's decision, I immediately went online and began listening to a.m. 700 KBYR, Alaska's popular talk radio station. I became familiar with this station shortly after Sarah Palin was announced John McCain's running mate. One of the channel's personalities that I really enjoy is Alaska's #1 Radio Talk Show Host Eddie Burke. I encourage those of you who, like me, do not live in Alaska to listen online at www.kbyr.com. His show aires Monday-Friday from 3-6 pacific/6-9eastern. Eddie's show is great because unlike the msm who spin every story, Eddie is a straight shooter; he tells it like it is. Like us, he believes Sarah Palin is not only good for Alaska, but America as well. He is a conservative who is not afraid to speak his mind, which is why his show is rated #1.
As I was listening to Eddie's show, the callers repeatedly voiced their support for their governor and all she has accomplished during her time as governor. The people of AK love her; she is their governor, their Sarah, yet at the same time, she feels like my governor to. Ever since she was tapped to be John McCain's running mate, she has become a household name. I know she is the governor of AK, but I wanted her to be my governor. She represents everything a conservative candidate should represent. We know it, the good people of AK know it. As I was listening, I had the urge to call into Eddie's show to tell him and the good people of AK just how much she means to us here in the lower 48, so I called in and talked to Eddie on today's show. I spoke of the Sarah the lower 48 has come to know. The Sarah Palin who draws stadium-size crowds, the Sarah Palin who speaks of life and liberty, the Sarah Palin who gives us hope that America can be that beacon of light once again, the Sarah Palin who has inspired me and countless other young women all over the country to get involved politically. This is the Sarah Palin the msm didn't WANT to get to know. Instead, they belittled her, mocked her, trashed her and her family's good name. They did not want to get to know this fantastic woman who was standing right in front on them. And why? Because she does not fit the ideal mold of a woman in politics. She is a pro-life, pro-second amendment, pro-traditional family values conservative woman, and liberals could not deal with the fact that she was for everything they have argued vehemently. against for years. The Katie Courics of the world saw her VP candidacy as a step backward for women instead of what it should have been: a step forward.
I am sorry to tell the liberal msm, but their time is over; Sarah Palin IS woman of my time!!! She is a woman who I can identify with on so many levels. This is not the 1970s-it's 2009, and the definition of "feminist" no longer has a singular meaning. Young 20 somethings of my generation define a feminist as a strong woman who believes women can do the same things as their male counterparts, but in a pair of kick-ass heels. Sarah Palin IS a feminist for my generation. Her strong moral compass is one women like me value and appreciate. The percentage of women who identify themselves as pro-life has increased dramatically in recent months, while the percentage of those who identify themselves as pro-choice has decreased. There is no doubting that Sarah Palin has had something to do with the shift in these numbers, the same could be said with the poll that shows more people identify themselves as conservative, not liberal.
So, while there is no doubting that the msm will spin this as being Sarah's last hurrah, let us look to the above numbers that illustrate she is more powerful than ever, a force to be reckoned with. Sarah may be stepping down as the governor of AK, but she is stepping into a new role, into a new phase of her life. It is up to her to decide what role she will play in the future of American politics as it should be. Just as we have stood by her as she has governed AK, we will continue to stand by her as she takes a stand for America and the values and principles we hold most dear. Sarah is a TRUE woman of grace!!!
While watching a replay of the speech she gave earlier today, I began to tear up just thinking about the great things she has done thus far, but my tears quickly subsided as I thought of the great things she will STILL do, but in a larger capacity. Sarah has the opportunity to plant the seeds for a better America, and I cannot wait to be apart of the America Sarah will positively impact!
