Say What?

So, fellow readers, according to the oh-so-biased-journalist Keith Olbermann, Michele Bachmann and the other Republican leaders who stood on the West Lawn of the Capital yesterday are radical, crazy loons. Well, Keith-O, call me a crazy loon too because I couldn't agree more with Bachmann and all of those who were in attendance. Michele Bachmann is an excellent role model for young female conservatives like me. Like Sarah, she is not afraid to stand up and to speak out. Not only is she unafraid to do these things, but she continues to do so with strength, valor, dignity and class. Thank you, Michele!

Yesterday, thousands of people gathered at the Capital to voice their opposition to the House Democrat's proposed health care bill. The patriotic Americans who gathered there came from all across the country, doing so on only about a week's notice. I am so proud of my fellow man and woman. No matter how liberals and the msm try to spin it, yesterday's protest rally WAS a huge success. Although Princess Pelosi and company will deny that yesterday's protest will have a huge effect on the vote tomorrow, there is no denying that she and her liberal colleagues heard the chants of "Kill the Bill.... Kill the Bill," which loudly echoed throughout the halls of the Capital. Thank God we still have our First Amendment right to free speech here in America!

Just as they did with their minimal coverage of the tea parties, the msm portrayed the protesters as radicals and racists. It is important that we stay strong and on message because we know the truth. I want to give the Fox News Channel (FNC) a virtual high-five for reporting on this important event. While FNC's coverage was fair and balanced, the other networks did not do as good of a job reporting the facts accurately. I wanted to address a particular aspect of the coverage I witnessed last night on TV. While many of you attend tea parties regularly like I do, you are well aware that the events are non-partisan and attendees come from all walks of life; I have met so many people of different races and different social classes. Although we know this to be the case, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann alluded to something on his program last night that I cannot ignore and NEED to address. I know not to take anything Olbermann says seriously, and the only time I ever tune into his show is when I'm channel surfing during commercials. With this said, I cannot let what I am able to write go unnoticed. Last night, Olbermann kicked off his lousy show by discussing, not the horrific shooting that took place in Fort Hood, but instead about the protest rally that took place at the capital. I couldn't believe that this man chose to discuss the protest over an act of domestic terrorism. While both events are very newsworthy, the shooting that took place yesterday should have been given the priority, but this is not how MSNBC works.

You know and I know that MSNBC and its commentators strive to do everything in their power to destroy anyone who speaks out against the Obama Administration, which is why Olbermann chose to cover the protest story first. Although this is outrageous, this is not the issue that has me so up in arms. It is what Olbermann said directly after introducing this story that has me on fire. In discussing the protest rally, Olbermann made the horrible accusation that any individual in attendance who was not white probably was paid to be there just so every race was represented. He went on to say that every tea party he has seen on TV- important because this illustrates how unaware he really is of those who attend- only involved white individuals, not African-Americans or Mexican-Americans or any other race for that matter. How dare he? Not only is Olbermann the true racist, but he is alluding that non-white individuals have no business speaking out against this administration. He is alluding that the only place for non-white individuals is on the left side of the aisle. He is alluding that they have no place on the conservative side of the aisle. He is alluding that the protests currently going on against the imposed legislation should be solely white-based. I'm sorry, Mr. Olbermann, but you sir are a racist! While I do regularly write about media malpractice and MSNBC's large role in this, I usually ignore Olbermann's insane rants unless it's to make fun of him or simply dismiss his outrageous disregard for the truth, but this time, he has gone way too far.

The protest rally that took place yesterday is proof that people from ALL races and ALL walks of life are against this proposed health care legislation. The cameramen over at MSNBC may have been able to trick their viewers in the past by panning the camera to capture only the images that best illustrated their argument that the protesters at tea parties are solely attended by white individuals, whom they call racist extremists by the way, but these cameramen were unable to cover this up yesterday. As the familiar song goes: "Red and yellow, black and white, all are precious in his sight...," we saw this yesterday as every race was represented. Mr. Olbermann's so-called "racist theory" has been completely disproven, so he has resulted to spreading even more lies and smears, and in doing so, further illustrated why his show is considered an utter failure.

The individuals who attended the protest rally yesterday deserve much more credit, Mr. Olbermann. No one had to pay any of the individuals a cent, for they showed up because they care and love their country. I have to wonder if Mr. Olbermann loves his country, for he seems to do everything in his power to speak out against it and against those patriotic Americans who live in it. To say the non-white individuals had to be paid to attend is doing a huge disservice to them. These individuals are hard-working Americans who work hard day in and day out to provide for their families. As a member of the elite sect of the msm, this is further proof of just how out of touch Olbermann and his liberal counterparts are with everyday America, "Mainstreet U.S.A." In spreading false propaganda, Olbermann and his colleagues are more worried about spreading lies than they are of actually reporting the truth. What a sad state of the affairs.

The media of today are definitely not the media I learned about in college. (For more on this, see another post I wrote entitled Slime Journalism.) The Americans who showed up yesterday have more courage than the entire msm combined! These men and women are the heart and soul of America. They are the reason why the health care bill does not yet have the votes needed to pass in the House. It is important, now more than ever, that we follow their lead, and keep the pressure on! Keep up the good fight because we WILL win in the end, and this time, we WILL give Mr. Olbermann something to REALLY talk about. Go and get 'em!

  1. We have freedom of the press. But what good is it if everything is skewed so much in one direction or the other? Is it because the msm is owned by big businesses? I don’t know. What I do see, however, is that some of the bravest people in politics these days are women. Feminism is confirmed.
