Washington's Newest Daycare Center

What has the Washington D.C. establishment turned into? A daycare center? If so, President Obama is the daycare center's commander in chief, but then again, I don't know if he's mature enough. From what I've seen, he is having enough trouble throwing temper tantrums and spending the majority of his time either traveling around on his big airplane or complaining about FOX News. Can you even begin to imagine if the shoe were on the another foot, and George W. Bush was traveling all over the place to campaign and complaining about MSNBC while he was president? Not only would he have been berated and ripped to shreds by the press and Americans everywhere, but he also would have lost all credibility. Former White House Communications Director Dana Perino was asked about this very issue today on Neil Cavuto's show, and here was her response:

"It was never his [Bush's] style, and I tried to follow his lead and be classy and gracious about things. Of course there's liberal media that we didn't like, but we never would have said it out loud. I think their are ways that you can deal with this and instead of having a coordinated- obviously you put all those sound bites together- they planned this all out, they made a decision, they all went out and said it at the same time, and I think what they've done is, basically, they've put a spot on the wall and, then, maybe unwittingly, they've rubbed the spot on the wall, and they've just made it so much worse than it should have been for them."

Well said, Dana. Man, how times have changed. Maybe THIS is what President Obama was talking about when he said he would change America. It has to be because there is no other explanation for the ridiculousness that is ensuing. I know children who are more mature and behaved than the members of the Obama Administration and Congress. Heck, is it too early to nominate the oh-so-adorable Piper Palin to be her mom's VP candidate in 2012? Not only is she bright, but much more mature than the crybabies whom we find currently running our country.

While President Obama is too busy criticizing Fox for not being a “real news organization,” I guess a network like MSNBC, that night after night spews hate and false information to its viewers, is what Obama views as news nowadays. I wonder if our dear president knows that, just today, MSNBC was reporting a truly newsworthy poll taken about NBC White House Correspondent Chuck Todd's goatee. I'm serious! Hmmmm guess asking viewers whether or not Chuckie boy should ax his goatee is more important than the health care debate and much more important than the ongoing issue of troop levels in Afghanistan. Then, we have a network like Fox News that actually sticks to reporting the issues and professionally keeping viewers up to date. The entire argument of whether or not Fox is a reputable news agency is absolutely ridiculous and an argument that should not be happening. By the way, isn’t it called a “conflict of interest,” Mr. President, when you meet privately with a large group of well-know liberal reporters or commentators? Here are just a some of the liberal journalists/commentators in attendance at a recent meeting as provided by Fox News.com: Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann, Eugene Robinson, Frank Rich, Maureen Dowd, Gloria Borger, Gwen Ifill and E.J. Dionne. Isn’t it ironic that after this meeting occurred, Obama’s lashing out of Fox News spun into high gear and he made comments such as:

“I think that what our advisers simply said was, is that we are going to take media as it comes. . . and if the media is operating, basically, as a talk radio format, then that’s one thing. And if it’s operating as a news outlet, then that’s another. But it’s not something I’m losing a lot of sleep over.” Fox News.com

Mr. President, I beg to differ. It seems to me like you are losing sleep, and since you haven’t yet taken that famous 3 a.m. call, then, chances are it’s a pretty good guess that Fox News is the source of those bags under your eyes. Maybe next time, you should actually take some advice from individuals who are actually reputable journalists rather than individuals like Rachel M. and Keith O.

Over the course of the last few years, I have watched Fox News become a leader in reporting, while networks like MSNBC have become extremely liberal propaganda spewing machines. The daycare kids, I mean the Obama Administration and liberal members of Congress, are not doing what they have been elected to do. Instead of coming together and debating the issues, we see members being locked out of the conversation- literally locked out! Just the other day, the locks to the door of the House Oversight Committee Room, at a request by the committee's chairman, were changed meaning members could no longer enter without having the new key. In what's been labeled "Door Gate," this incident, as ridiculous as it sounds, caused an uproar and finger pointing back and forth. Now, just today, after this story is rapidly spreading like wild fire, the committee room's doors are mysteriously now unlocked. WOW. Isn't this generous of the democrats? They are actually going to once again "allow" the republicans into the room, if not the discussion. Isn't that nice of them? What a joke! Washington has become a pool full of weenies and lunatics hell bent on having it their way. If they find that someone is coming in between them and what they want, just as Alinsky's Rules for Radicals implies, they are going to target and destroy person or organization. Thus, Obama views the press as his press. Nothing surprises me with this administration anymore. I wouldn't be shocked if the administration changed the term "freedom of the press" to "rules of the press," in that Obama guides all media decisions.

Obama and his administration are making a variety of mistakes in picking fights with members of the media. They are losing the battle, which will lead to their losing the war. Although the media view one another as competition, they are a group in that they believe in the First Amendment and freedom of the press. This can be seen very recently when the administration attempted to have the new “pay czar,” Kenneth Feinberg, interviewed by ALL major news networks, BUT Fox News. Low and behold, the administration ran into a huge roadblock when the other networks said they would only participate if Fox was able to participate in the interview as well. For once, I commend the media for not bowing to the White House and its ever-growing list of demands. I guess Obama and company don’t realize that you cannot always get everything you want; there are some times when you have to give and take. The Democrats serving us in Washington D.C. also need to realize this because in taking the lead from their president, they have not only locked the opposition out, but they have closed their minds from the deferring opinions. Our founding fathers meant for a system of checks and balances, and liberals serving us have forgotten this very important point. If an administration is left unchecked, problems occur, which is undeniably clear when we see the chaos ensuing in D.C. right now as I write this.

At the close of his show today, Cavuto made a great common sense point when he said the following about those who locked themselves behind that committee room door:

“They’re behind the door aren’t they? A door that isn’t opening and leaves us wondering- that’s some door isn’t it? Until you realize that the door is more than a door, isn’t it? It represents a process that was supposed to be opened, but isn’t, using politicians who vowed not to include any illegal’s under this plan, but have- gathered in a room that was supposed to represent all points of view, but wont. That door tells you a lot about this approach- that door is about Washington itself, vowing not to be in the car business, but is, but promising to get out of the banking business, but is not. Politicians can say they’re not out to run those businesses, but are now setting pay at those businesses. Politicians who cant police their own books, now telling others how to police theirs. Politicians who would sooner find a break for themselves, then lasting relief for the people who put them in office. An office whose door is closed. An office whose occupants are clueless to a growing kind of folk who certainly want in on the debate, but apparently are deemed too stupid or loud to be part of that debate, but they are not. They are on the outside looking in only imagining what politicians inside are working out, all because the door is shut. Just like the minds of the people meeting behind it- are shut. It is enough for me to say: ‘Oh... shut.’”

Our elected officials are so closed minded that they have forgotten that they work for us. If anything, they should be asking us permission of when and where they can hold their meetings, for we elected them. Have they forgotten that? Have they forgotten that we, the people, put them easily in to office, which means that we, the people, can remove them from office just as easily? These elitists are wandering clueless through the desert while we wait for them to gain some common sense. While American people are a very forgiving bunch, patience is a very different matter, and you and me and the rest of the masses are becoming a very impatient group. If Congress and the White House are cranky, maybe it’s time for a nap, or better yet, a timeout because frankly, I have friends whose own small children are better behaved than this daycare bunch. It’s time they put down their pacifiers, stop the whining and get to work.

  1. Great write-up! I didn't realize it was called "Door Gate." Cuavto's statement was awesome! I, too, was shocked when I learned that the White House said the media could interview the pay czar except Fox. I heard that on Mike Gallagher this morning when Chris Wallace was on.

  2. Neil Cavuto's ridicule of Door-gate this week has been great! With Glenn Beck's show tonight, the White House must be frothing at the mouth. Good job. This administration are wetting themselves over conservatives revolting against the destruction of our Constitution.

They can cry if they want to... it's their party.

  3. We should change the name of the White House to the Cry House and just hire a 'Diaper Czar' to change POTUS' pampers.
