Nobel Appeasement Prize

To be quite honest, the more I think and hear about it, the more I find myself not at all surprised that President Obama won this year's Nobel Peace Prize. Just look at the committee that votes on the award. The members of the committee promote peace and are anti-war. In choosing Obama as this year's winner, the members strategically chose a man who will now be their puppet. In choosing Obama, the committee basically has our president right where it wants him.

Think about what this award will mean to the coming decisions President Obama will make. Since this award is supposedly all about do-gooders and spreading peace, what will this mean to the troop levels in Afghanistan? As I was listening to Rush Limbaugh's radio show this morning, he was right on the money as usual. I couldn't agree more with Rush when he stated that The Nobel Peace Prize Committee has essentially put Obama in a straight jacket in that now that he has been awarded this prize, he must live up to everything an award of this magnitude represents. With this said, would it be any surprise if Obama decides against sending the maximum number of troops over to Afghanistan? Would it be any surprise to you if Obama uses this award as a motivational tool and ploy to rapidly push his agenda forward? Watch out, folks, because I have a feeling we are about to see both of these questions ring true.

Like many of you, I have long been skeptical of The Nobel Peace Prize not only because of its clear liberal-leaning agenda, but also because of some of the individuals who have been awarded it. Al Gore and Jimmy Carter are just two of the names who come to mind. Giving an award to a former Vice President, who thinks the world is going to end because of global warming, which hasn't even been proven is one crazy case; furthermore, giving this award to a former president who has sat down with Hamas and other tyrants is an absurdity in itself. Now, our current president joins the list of winners like these two class acts- what a joke. I guess apologizing for past actions of the United States and blaming everything on President Bush makes you a shoe-in for an award like this. Just think about the true individuals out there who actually have pushed for peace and brought justice and freedom to nations. Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher are responsible for helping to end the Cold War; George W. Bush freed the Iraqi people from an evil dictator; moreover, he liberated the Afghan people who for so long had been tormented by the evil Taliban. Yet, there is a perfectly good reason why these three strong leaders did not receive The Nobel Peace Prize. It seems that in order to receive this prize, you must fit the committee's standards. You must be liberal, and you must be weak. This describes President Obama in a nutshell. The following is what Rush told "Newsweek" today in an email I received from "Newsmax" :

“The Nobel gang just suicide bombed themselves. Gore, Carter, Obama, soon Bill Clinton. See a pattern here? They are all leftist sell-outs. George Bush liberates 50 million Muslims in Iraq, Reagan liberates hundreds of millions of Europeans and saves parts of Latin America. Any awards?.....Obama gives speeches trashing his own country and for that gets a prize, which is now worth as much as whatever prizes they are putting in Cracker Jacks these days.”

While it is no doubt that Obama is the most liberal president the United States has ever had, the even greater issue has to do with our president's lack of forcefulness and strong will. While Reagan and Bush Jr. were not afraid to put up a fight and do the right thing, no matter the poll numbers, President Obama is just the opposite. I'm sorry to write this, but I believe other countries view our president not only as naïve, but weak too. Awarding him this award is just further proof of this. Did you hear the people laugh when he was announced the winner of this award? I find it particularly comical that when he accepted the award, he said that he was undeserving of it. Well, Mr. President, if you feel as if you are so undeserving, then why did you accept it; furthermore, why did you accept the nomination back in February 2009? You find greater satisfaction and enjoyment in being given awards than you do in leading our country and doing the right thing. Instead of listening to us Americans, you listen to other countries, many of whom do not have America's best interests at heart. While you parade yourself around the world, many of us are wondering when you are going to actually stick around in your own country and do the job you were elected to do? I guess this award is your consolation prize for not winning the Olympic Bid. Rush finds Obama winning this award even more embarrassing than his losing the Olympic bid:

"It is a greater
embarrassment than losing the Olympics bid. And with this 'award' the elites of the world are urging Obama, THE MAN OF PEACE, to not do the surge in Afghanistan, not take action against Iran and its nuclear program and to basically continue his intentions to emasculate the United States. They love a weakened, neutered U.S, and this is their way of promoting that concept. I think God has a great sense of humor, too.”

I guess being awarded The Nobel Peace Prize today is yet another indication of just how far President Obama has gone to appease the needs of other countries. While past presidents worried about safely securing America and keeping her strong, President Obama has shown his agenda lies with essentially bowing to other countries and keeping them happy. Instead of leading America, he continues down the dangerous path of a one-world global economy. If The Nobel Peace Prize is any indication of what's to come, then we better be prepared for a president who desires not only to apologize for our country's so-called faults, but for its liberties and freedoms too.
